Sorry I missed this earlier :)  No, we haven't corresponded with her for the past couple months, aside from a "like" here 'n there on Instagram. She'll occasionally comment on my stuff. Meanwhile, she's actually on a never-ending vacation around the USA via his RV. They're always posting about doing something somewhere in the southern states: She, him, and his gaggle of friends, almost all of them women. When I see her postings, there's a lack of light in her eyes; seemingly soulless or just sleep deprived. Whatever fun lil' narcotics they're taking are keeping them skinny but are slowly wearing them out.

One time, she reached out to our mutual girlfriend to catch up, and at one point, Diana sighed and admitted, "I'm tired..." but it didn't seem like just a casual mention of just being tired, you know?

A few months ago around Christmastime, Carlo posted a long, long lengthy post about his "tribe" and how you make your own family and whatnot. I could post it here. I still have yet to read it.

Also a couple months back, Carlo reached out to my hubby via social media as kind of a general catchup and was bragging about something random he just bought, but my hubby didn't respond. As my hubby is considered the Queen Bee/Regina George (haha) of the group, no doubt Diana and Carlo were discussing all of us and wanted to put feelers out by reaching out to my hubby since hubby had stopped responding to Diana.

We'll see what happens as we get closer to the summertime and they're finally back home...

I know it might be tough, but I don't think there's anything that you, your husband or any of your friends could do. If it's like its sounds, she's going to have to come to the realization and get away from that lifestyle all on her own.

Definitely. We came to that decision. If things change and she cuts the cord from him and reaches out to us, I'm open to communication.

UPDATE: "Diana" and "Carlo" are no longer together and after spending months on the road, Diana is coming home this weekend. She reached out to my hubby and they had a talk, and we're going to have dinner with her this weekend. Hubby flat out told her we thought she was in a cult, and she agreed it was a cult-like atmosphere. Sounds like she's going to make the rounds and reach out to people she's fallen out of touch with, and is apologetic and embarrassed over the whole ordeal.

Of course, I'll have questions, but at the same time, I'm not going to bombard her with too much. I'm happy to give her a safe space to come to us and vent and reconnect. But yeah, lots of info to unpack from the last couple days and more to come this weekend...

Lord... folks... just when you thought she was out of the water.

Now we learn she's part of an MLM Pyramid cult scheme. I can even tell you which one: [redacted]. Look up the reviews. I'm amazed people can be so dumb, naïve, and vulnerable to fall for such garbage. It's cultish and similar to the idea of Scientology. She's trying to get our good friend to join now (so that she can make it through to the "third tier."). That's it. We're done with her. It's a lost cause.

On second thought, I'm not going to list the name because I don't want those crazies to find this thread down the line during a random google search. That's how nuts these people can be.

JFC. I’m so sorry to hear this! Back in my late 20s in the late 2000s, I became part of a MLM thing back home in Australia. I lasted six months before I realised how manipulative and insidious it all was (not to mention the amount of money you have to invest to even get a start). One thing’s for sure, and I’m talking from my own experience - never let anyone who is neurodiverse near any s**t like that.
