The thing that many soap fans fail to acknowledge and that nobody wants to discuss is the fact that most of these series reboots have happened on online platforms.  Many soap fans seem averse to streaming.

If Disney keeps Hulu, I could see reboots there again. People *were* watching ... but I agree most soap fans are averse to streaming. I think it's just they're so settled in to "watching my stories on TV" ... but yet, you still can, just stream them on your TV ;) lol but my mom, who is in her 60s and loved AMC and OLTL and GH wouldn't be bothered to want to learn how to stream them (and she's very good with technology ... but she became turned off of them during Frons' reign of terror on ABC Daytime so that could be it too .. lol) so I totally get what you're saying.

 

I won't get my hopes up but I really feel like something is rumbling here ...
