Eh. It's been 4 months. I'm not ready to say he fucked up his return yet. I'm not as disgusted as everyone else. Not saying I love it ... but I'd rather have done without all of this deportation [!@#$%^&*] and Eve being a one-note MAGA shouting bitch.

What was the point of all of this anyway? I doubt it was to really tell an illegal immigrant story. I also am waiting for Melinda to spill one day she's really Haley's mother, not her sister, making this all pointless anyway (no spoilers, just my guess)

Was it to make us care about Haley?

I know everyone loves good natured lovable rascal Jack who leaves Jennifer at every turn and then begs her to take him back, but I don't mind Jack being different right now. I don't hate everything being done.

What fans really wanted was Jack to come back, Jennifer to hold his hand, they reminisnce about the past, he somehow gets his memory back and he holds her accountable for the Daniel nonsense. Personally, I don't even need it addressed anymore because I'd be more than happy to pretend Daniel never existed. But I do think it should be dealt with, and it's not as if that aspect has been ignored. I mean, look at Steve and Kayla in 2006. He remembered his life fairly fast and they burned through so much story ... not saying this Jack/Jen/Eve story is *good* ...

Not sure why everyone wants instant resolution and instant happiness. This is a soap, no? I mean, reading and watching old DAYS episodes, couples were kept apart almost ALL THE TIME with very little room for happiness in between. It's like the Cin stans having a coronary anytime they're split up for five seconds ...

Look at the mess that was Will/Sonny/Paul. Of course, I want Jack to get his memory back (the story is also him grappling with who he became and who he is ... if told right it could be good but I have little faith in Ron telling a compelling story here) but I never wanted Will to get his back, personally. Now look at them. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I like this Jack, but not the HUGE Personality change. I don't want butt of the joke Jack back, I do want a happy medium. I want the guy he became after he got with Jennifer the first go around(the beginning).

I do like that Jennifer has to chase Jack, but the Jack and Eve stuff to me is over kill

    • Yes. He was asleep in the living room, over in the chair that is sideways to the room, but faces it & he had one of his bad dreams in the exact same way as always & as always it woke him up. Is that a thing? Are there bad dreams that for some reason always wake you?
    • Just happy to see the Pointer Sisters getting their flowers again, thanks to GTA 6.

    • Yeah, I was fickle. I abandoned baby watch & just tried to think of really well matched pairings. Yeah, they sent Carter & Thomasina away far too soon for my way of looking at things.  I REALLY liked them & they were rare being both young & African Americans.
    • My watching in that time period was sketchy.  After high school, I didn't have a TV.  I would watch in the dormitory common room  my first year away from home, but then after that I lived in a rental with housemates who didn't want TV.  I think I caught up on the soaps during school(univ) vacations, when visiting my sister's house.  And then many many years later on soapnet?  Not sure. I had no idea that Jeff ever tried suicide. Reading just now is the first I ever heard of that. Interesting. I will agree that Monica wanted Jeff out of the way so she could be with Rick, but she would have wanted him gone emotionally.  But I don't remember watching Jeff having any medical issues, so I don't know if she would have wanted him dead.
    • Didn't he have a nightmare last week?
    • Nothing about Joss ever works. I can't blame them for trying a completely fresh approach for her, but she needs to be written out.
    • Thanks @Paul Raven  Some of this sounds strong but it's all so heavy and some elements, like with Felicia and Charles, almost veer on parody. L&L seemed to always be a heavy show - did they ever even have comic relief moments? - but I do wonder if it all became too much for viewers.
    • It's a joke. If there's a way to put Joss into a WSB spy story that works, I haven't seen it. What they're doing is just ridiculous. Imagine trusting a huge operation to someone who "finished training" a month ago. I think they're trying to make this work by having a college-age agent be a part of the professor's class, etc. It might look acceptable on paper, but it doesn't work when you see it.
    • Monday, after the party, Leslie showed up at the Duprees. Martin was with everyone as they listened to her for a bit. Then Martin said he was needed at home.  Anita and Vernon knew he was upset and they were concerned. Vernon asked "Do you need Titus, or are you okay to drive?"  Martin said he was okay and left to drive himself home. Either Titus is a chauffeur or just some helpful all-around employee.
    • if only Dante had admitted to hating string instruments earlier....
