That’s sad news.  The cast during that period of AMC was sprawling.

I guess there really is a Kennedy curse. Lawford was too old to play Charlie, but I oddly liked his take on the role regardless. May he RIP.

Lawford was on his way out of AMC by the time I began watching. I remember being irritated by his pairing with Cecily (who I would later learn bore almost no resemblance to the character she had been previously). Still, he had charm and likeability. I'm sorry to hear he's gone.
