Yeah, I'm with John and Chit. Watching SVU, with its weekly exploration of sex crimes, can be a grind on the soul. Watching "Hate Crimes" might be enough to give up on the human race altogether.

It really is giving 'Sonny had Cyrus beat up!!' all over again lol. Who cares?! But I have said all along Sidwell is just the latest iteration of Cyrus, Shiloh, Victor et al.
It's crazy to me that any fans of those characters consider this a storyline for those three. And I do enjoy Dante, Elizabeth and Ric as individuals and want better for them, but this isn't an active or exciting story. It's filler to satisfy the two contract players' guarantees while not having to write much for them.

And the drag queens! When was Britt involved in the drag scene? It was like Port Charles Pride, only all for Britt! I'm still not over it. All because the writers who loved her knew KT's exit was (by her own request) supposed to be a permanent death at that time so they had to coronate mid B-player Britt as the Gay Goddess they claimed she was. Ugh! Let's not do that again next time.

I think individual scenes of the story might be okay, but the overall plot made Joss look selfish and heartless. It's fine if she fell out of love with Cam, but her cheating before telling Cam wasn't cool. Plus, she basically dumped Cam because Dex was hotter and the sex was good. Meanwhile, everyone in town was on Joss's side because the heart wants what it wants. The writing of Joss being a sympathetic heroine never works for me.

From what my mom told me, early D.L Brock came across like a charming guy.. and that the show hired David Groh on purpose to lure viewers into thinking D.L was going to be a good guy.. since he was popular on Rhoda years before. I wish I could have seen the story in real time because it sounded like it did what it intended to do.

I forgot about the photos of Kelly when she was a kid!!!! That was such an awful party and I sincerely thought I was the only one that missed the allure of the Britt character.
Cam is Liz's oldest son. Joss isn't very popular around here because she cheated on Cam with Dex because they had hotter sex and then broke up with Cam after. She treated Cam pretty poorly.

I am surprised Curtis ratted out Sonny so quickly lol.
The show is really trying to make this a bigger conflict than it should be. Am I really supposed to care that the ADA is sad Sonny potentially lied to her? That Sidwell might die? That Jordan's sister is trying to be Curtis's lawyer? All of this is boring to me. You know when the most interesting part of the show was Michael/Jordan it was not a great day.
It's also amusing that Ric consistently pops up at the hospital unannounced while Liz is working to ask her on dates. Does he hate using phones or something lol? Half the time Dante is there and Ric is jealous, but we won't get any movement in this story for 6 more months.
