How would you create one if you could

If anyone created a new soap that was truly a standard, classic soap opera as we've all known since the early 50's, I would suggest the original Guiding Light/Search for Tomorrow length of 10 minutes (15 minute soaps minus 5 minutes of commercial). Online. If some random cable network wanted to air it, they could air it as a one-hour show once a week. 

65 episodes every six months, told spatial anthology style, beginning middle and end as but also open ended. Characters could used all over creating a Tarantino style universe.

I would also make it a little bit meta, but not in a comedic or insulting way. I would just make my characters grow in intelligence and be aware of the things surrounding them.
