My psychotic mother send me a Viber photo from a different number (one of her girlfriends)... with a photo of a Christmas card I had written to her... 10 years ago in which I had said she's the best mother in the World.

Manipulation tactic to get me to mellow out... but honey - 10 years ago I was 18-19 years old and still under the spell of your lies... This card does the exact opposite of what you want - it just reminds me how much I've grown and how much I've learned in these past 10 years... to make me able to say - Goodbye.

• Brat - A child, especially one who behaves badly. The word went viral thanks to pop artist Charli XCX's album of the same name, about non-conformist women
• Demure - Quiet or well-behaved. Influencer Jools Lebron's satirical use of the word on TikTok mocking stereotypical femininity drove look-ups
• Goldilocks - To describe a situation that is exactly right. Financial reporters characterised India’s strong growth and moderate inflation as a Goldilocks economy in early 2024.

On November 21, 1980, 350 million people around the world tuned in to the popular primetime drama “Dallas” to find out who shot J.R. Ewing. J.R. had been shot on the season-ending episode the previous March 21, one of television’s most famous cliffhangers.
