My psycho mother asked me today... How is it possible that I don't miss her?

I don't miss anyone, sweetheart. If you are not in my life, then you are not in my life. PERIOD. I don't live in the past and I don't live in the future. I LIVE in the present tense. And sadly for you.. part of my ADHD is that I forget about people very easily. Even my toxic mother. So she may think I SHOULD miss her, but I will not even get a single thought about her... if she doesn't try calling me 19902 times or lie about having some medical emergency for attention seeking purposes.

So yes, honey, I DO NOT miss you. And when I put your contact back on block, I'll not think of you in the next month or two.

From FB Memories

Elsewhere some folk are doing a virtual memorial to an actor who was also a singer/songwriter who is best known for the mostly villains he played on various soaps. Roscoe Born b. Nov 24, 1950 d. Mar 3, 2020 at the age of 69. He died by suicide; his family issued a statement that said, "Roscoe has long struggled with bipolar disorder, a shadow that he succumbed to when he took his own life". OLTL, RH, Paper Dolls, The City, Santa Barbara, AMC, DOOL, ATWT, GL and Y&R. Rarely saw his smile. So, I've put together this, showing him smiling.

I'm going on an internet and social media strike after today. I'll only use my laptop for work. I can't deal and read about this election anymore. I can't. I'm done. I don't want to see psychopaths being happy that they won. I don't want to deal with their bull.

Emotionally destroyed. Done.

    • Millette Alexander got the short end of the stick once they killed off Joe. The Justin thing was a non-starter. Then she was briefly married to Alan's corrupt lawyer and HE was killed off. She was paired briefly with Adam and that ended because she believed Holly over Roger about the rape. Definitely, Marland had zero interest in her except as the therapist for the many, many of his female characters who needed therapy. It's not odd she left the show. One of the rare 1978 episodes on YT shows Alan going to Cedars for a physical check-up. He ends up with Sarah as his doctor. In between making mysoginistic comments about women doctors, he also openly flirts with her. It's very obvious they were chem testing Sarah and Alan. It's a really good scene. Bernau is both obnoxious and charming and Millette is amazing, trying to be pleasant and profesional without rolling her eyes at him, but at the same time maybe a LITTLE bit attracted to him. An interesting what-might-have-been. So it appears the Dobsons were actively looking for someone to pair her with, they just never found the right one for a long-term story.

    • First, let me say I love reading all of your takes and thoughts. They always provide a different point of view... a breath of fresh air... in this sometimes stuffy topic.

You've inspired me to add my 2 cents about this product placement debacle.  I absolutely HATE the way they are doing product placement in BTG. I really hope this doesn't catch on or evolve into more and more of these moments. It's incredibly off-putting to place them in a highly dramatic moment where we are still on the emotional journey with the character. What is next - Dani spraying the house while having a nervous breakdown? It makes me not want to buy the product they're selling. LOL. That's just me.
    • I always get the vibe that Martin/Smitty have an emotional abusive relationship set up... but I doubt the show will really go there with that element given that Martin is a Dupree (and we can't have the Duprees be portrayed in a negative light), and because it's a gay male relationship.   Even though abuse in the physical or emotional sense is a huge thing in a lot of gay and lesbian relationships. The Ashley/Naomi scene reads off to me for one reason....  Ashley was talking about the new scandal without any sort of mention and/or subtext.. considering she knew both Silk Press Sheila and Eva.  I'm not sure if the writers have forgotten, if Jen Jacobs isn't able to play subtext, or what.   It's just apparent the writers do not know how to write a young white millennial couple.. and perhaps they need to get a younger white script writer to be on staff... or let the actors play around with the lines to make them more natural/realistic.
    • This is as good a time as any to point out that the 90 minute show was, what I like to call  "cockamamie idea" of Fred Silverman, head of NBC Daytime Programming. He did so well at ABC & CBS but not so NBC. We learned this from a WOST interview with Pete Lemay, 2006, can be found on YouTube, audio only. Now, to be clear, Rauch was completely behind it. Only Lemay fought against it & eventually quit over it.
    • She was so wonderful. Glad your handle has been a tribute to her.
    • Hopefully Alan has learned to not interrupt or interject with pointless information while someone is in the middle of telling a story. I almost think it would be better if Alan was a producer behind the scenes.. and he just had the actors on screen talking and asking one another questions.  Those interviews tend to work better.
    • It was only recently announced that Denise Alexander passed away on March 5, 2025. She was my all time favorite actress and role model. She will be dearly missed.  Denise Alexander, ‘General Hospital' and ‘Days of Our Lives' Actress, Dies at 85
