Yeah. Kev/Bruno tried to flip the vote on Karen/Demetres b/c Kevin & Mark had a bromance. The house had a big blowup before the vote (thanks to Ika & Cass), which led to Demetres staying. Kevin tried to lie and say he voted to keep Demetres but was immediately called out. It annoyed Karen (Ika too) and she never trusted him onwards.

Ahh that's right. The attempted vote flip on Mark. That's where the mistrust of Kevin started and it never really went away. It seems soooo long ago LOL. Mark was a little hottie but I grew to really like Demetres. I didn't really like him the first week or so for whatever reason. Mark has to be one of the most talked about first boots LOL

Kevin could've repaired his mistrust but he went on to lie again to everyone during Backwards Week that he didn't nominate Gary/Dre. All I have to say is that he was lucky that Gary went over Dre b/c had Gary stayed, Gary would've mowed his ass down with help from production, Ika, and Demetres.

I didn't like Demetres from his casting videos, but he emerged as my favorite newbie alongside Karen this season. I hate how we'll never get a Karen-type character on BBUS b/c CBS and Grodner prefer to make this show White and youthful.

We used to get Karen types. We had Jerry. Renny. They cast for [!@#$%^&*] nowadays. BB10 was the last well cast season IMHO. A few standouts here and there but overall bad casting. Robyn and Allison have needed to go for years now but CBS doesn't help either. Although Robyn casts OK for BBCan, but I noticed once they went to Global the casting went down a bit.

Season 35 of Survivor cast is leaking out and they seem young-ish too but slightly more diverse.

I said this on another forum. BB10 was truly the last cast that cast people of all ages.

BBUS fans ought to revolt and demand more diverse characters in age, race, and sexuality. Makes no damn sense how 90% of the contestants are White and straight. It annoys me to no end.

It was.

They think diversity is two black females. One older and one younger. That seems to be the trend lately. And a token "old guy" who's really in his 40s. And the token gay who's obnoxious. It's insulting.

BBOTT had an OK cast, but it wasn't cast by Robyn ...

BBOTT was great casting, but I don't blame Robyn for casting on BBUS. From what I've collected does not have final say so in casting like she does on BBCAN. They give her more power on the Canadian version.

I think it is criminal that with 16 houseguests that only 4 of them will be diverse. IMO, it should be mandatory that there are 4 Asian hgs, 4 Black hgs, 4 Latin hgs, 4 White hgs. 4 of those houseguests need to be LGBT. 6-8 of those hgs need to be older than 30.

I just read the intro and first chapter and I'm already hooked. I know she had a co-author, but I can tell Kim is a firecracker and I'd love to have wine with her and talk sh!t haha. It makes reading the book pretty easy and entertaining. Intro - I had no idea she got a DUI! She shared 3 bottles of wine with a friend at dinner one night in LA, got in her car, was pulled over and thrown in jail overnight.  She admitted it wasn't her first time drinking and driving, but learned a valuable lesson that night. Out of the gate, she's not holding back or hiding anything. Chapter 1 - the announcement that GL was being cancelled. She was driving to Peapack and got a call from Bradley Cole who told her the news. First, that's BS that as one of the faces of GL, you hear the big news from a fellow co-star on your way to work. Granted, the "suits" were traveling to Peapack that day to tell the cast and crew, but still, seems icky. Ironically the news came on April Fools Day. Apparently that was the last day the network could decide whether to cancel or renew, but to Kim's point, couldn't they just pick the day before to avoid the callousness of the 'holiday'. Obviously a sad day in GL history. I thought it was funny, she said the one thing she thought of is "what would Susan Lucci do" in this situation, post-cancellation. And of course she said she'd "find something to hawk on the Home Shopping Network"  You all would know better than me, but part of the title of her book is "seven husbands" and in her intro, she uses Reva's full name: Reva Shayne-Lewis-Lewis-Spaulding-Lewis-Winslow-Cooper-Lewis-Lewis-O'Neill.  However, in the first chapter, she said Bradley Cole was "her 8th (or was it 9th?) husband". Well, Kim, that already contradicts the title of your book and your character's name you touted.

    • I was incredibly moved by these scenes, especially Peter's performance. It felt so tender and real, especially when you remember Bo just got out of a years-long coma and wasn't going to be able to put up a front. You're reminded of how long these legends have populated the show when you have a 70 year old man grieving men who were almost 90 or 100, but Bo's response to Victor's death was a poignant reminder of how fresh these wounds are no matter your age. Normally these types of moments don't even make it in soap episodes in recent decades as they are seen as too boring. The more somber moments being balanced by Bo meeting his grandchildren was also lovely.  And the scene where Bo forgave Shawn may be the only time I've been in lock with Brandon Beemer's take on the part.  There's a certain element of suffocation with soaps, as shown here, when you remember so many of the kids are named after long dead relatives, or when they grew up, were paired with the kids of other longtime characters. That aspect always makes me yearn for new blood (new blood that doesn't suck, anyway), but there are other moments, like those with Bo, which make me appreciate all the history the show has.
    • A funny scene, Roger and Sonni go out to eat, at that place that had a colonial theme (I love when soaps have very specific places to eat..I hated the diners on GL, ATWT and AW) and this is just after Rog came back and Sonni hit the headlines and the waitress scremes.."Oh, Roger Thorpe, and YOUR...please dont' hurt me..." and they are all like, "Hey, were just hungry!" (most soaps now have someone go on a murder spree and the rest of the cast and extras look like they havent heard about it."
