I see Xander as wasted potential.

 

That said...perhaps he is back as a catalyst for Deimos and Nicole to break up since Deimos helped him escape and Nicole has reason to not like Xander.

Yeah..And Ron has started following a lot of Days actors on Twitter but VI isn't one of them.  VI gave his best to the role despite the bad writing...one minute he's a murderer, next he's a lover.  The idea of the character was ok but the 30 years in prison bull crap killed it from the beginning.  No one spends that long in prison and comes out with power, money and is able to turn a family upside down, nearly murder everyone then move in and take over, and gain Victor's trust.  Best to cut their losses and forget the Deimos angle.
