July 24, 201510 yr Member In the present day idyllic kingdom of Auradon, the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle from Disney’s iconic "Beauty and the Beast") is poised to take the throne. His first official proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making offspring of Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, The Evil Queen, and Jafar, who have been imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost, a forbidden island where all the other villains, sidekicks, evil step-mothers and step-sisters are placed upon their defeat. These villainous descendants are allowed into the kingdom to attend prep school alongside the offspring of iconic Disney heroes. However, the evil teens face a dilemma: Should they follow in their nefarious parents’ footsteps and help all the villains regain power by stealing the Fairy Godmother's magic wand, or embrace their innate goodness and save the kingdom? It premieres on the Disney Channel on July 31st, 2015. I'm praying that this is something good but I have an inkling that this is going to be a hot mess. July 24, 201510 yr Member I love the premise and really want to like it. I'll check it out, but I'm not going to hold out tons of hope.
July 24, 201510 yr Author Member Ugh I'd love this on any other channel. I just think that it is going to be a cheesy, hot mess. And this movie didn't need to be a musical. I would've enjoyed it if it simply fell into line with Once Upon a Time and was a action-adventure drama.
July 24, 201510 yr Author Member Oh is it not a tv show? I agree I think it should be more like OUAT. Nope. TV movie directed by Kenny Ortega (of High School Musical).
July 25, 201510 yr Member Nope. TV movie directed by Kenny Ortega (of High School Musical). Lol thanks, I didn't even bother watching the trailer.
July 26, 201510 yr Member They should've had this be a part of Once Upon a Time, it would've been better. The kid who played Jory Marquet from If There Be Thorns plays Cinderella and Prince Charming's son
August 1, 201510 yr Member The casting for Belle was awful. Sorry but that actress wasn't pretty enough to play a Queen. I didn't realize it was a musical until I tuned in. It was pretty Teen Beach Movie/High School Musical set in fairytale land. The kid in me enjoyed it. Though the songs were unnecessary and just obviously a way for Disney to highlight Dove.
August 1, 201510 yr Author Member Oops. I missed and I was the one to make the thread. I was too busy watching the final episodes of Degrassi.
August 5, 201510 yr Member No, OUAT is awful as it is. They already focus on everything but what they should be focusing on
