Gag to the hickey on Liz's neck... Liz/Julia/Austin needed to be split up...

Vanessa's whining is like nails on a chalkboard...Time to go...yesterday

John's Bobcat Goldthwait impression is very annoying...Oh wait, it's just his voice...Yikes!! Imagine having him talking like that during a dental visit...

He threw the veto, and look what it got him.  Why did they not get rid of "I'm so lonely" Vanessa....UGH!

I'm just glad James won America's Favorite.

I'm kinda with you Cheap, I do believe if she had won the final HOH or w/e she would have won. But sometimes I gotta think like... you based your whole game on "honesty."  I'm not going to love that because I love some of the more unapologetic players of BB past that have won the show.

Vanessa was a train wreck but she deserved to win. Naturally the awful Ian clone won. Steve was such a mess. I never liked him as much as some seemed to. I'm usually all for quirky and weird but he was just a bit much for me and the game was too much for him. I never knew where he was or what he was doing. Ehh. Could have been worse I guess.

I didn't participate much at all in the discussion of the show or the live feeds but, for the most part, I really did like this season. It was better than 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 for me. Honestly. It was. The cast was entertaining, there was strategy ... I think had Battle of the Block not been there, it could have played out even better. I'd also like to see Audrey, Da'Vonne, Jason, Shelli, James, Johnny Mac (maybe), Vanessa and even Meg all play again. So that says something. I think the casting, while still falling into old patterns, at least gave us some personalities.

It was a good season, despite the Liz/Julia/Austin/Vanessa/Steve ugh-yuck alliance managing to take back over the endgame and dominate. I mean, good for them. I just hated losing so many interesting players so early on. I also think James fell asleep for a few weeks there after the Clay/Shelli ousters, and he got too comfortable with Austwins.

And even those players I didn't "love" I didn't HATE like in past years and never want to see again. I mean, I'd take Liz, Austin and Steve again over GinaMarie, Spencer and Andy.

I think he was cast to be Ian but I don't think he ever was. He wasn't as likeable, but he also didn't just comp whore - he had to depend on others to help him stay, more game relationships, and so on. It's one of the reasons I was fine with him winning, because they had their chance and they kept him around.

Vanessa was the best player of the three, but her social game was so poor that she had to save herself through competitions. She wasn't able to get people who would take her to the end. If she'd been as good as the hype, then she would have managed it. I have to admit seeing her get third after so many had assumed she'd win made me laugh, as did her voting for Liz for girl power, even though Liz would have and repeatedly did dump her for Austin many times.

    • May 16th interview with Cherie Jimenez.   30 minutes long. (for Vee, she's the current Gabi -- mother of Will&Sonny's daughter Arianna. Cherie has been airing since June 2024). This previously posted on the spoiler thread because it mentioned the casting of Marissa Reyes as SORASed Arianna Horton, and the recent scene where Gabi noticed Arianna wasn't in her room. Now that all of this has aired, I'm bringing it over to the main thread, as there are no spoilers anymore. Cherie is 40.  Marissa is 21, playing an 18-year-old.  Cherie is aware that they look more like sisters than mother/daughter.  Interestingly, Cherie said that in real life, her own mother was a teen when Cherie was born, and that people commonly mistake Cherie and her mom as sisters. Most of the interview is about Cherie as Gabi, getting cast, working with Brandon Barash, working with Casey Moss.

    • So, I guess John might be on the way out now that Robert is back and Nate's body has been found....  Or are they going to jump through hoops to keep him on the show and make us watch two Sugdens fight over a Dingle?

    • I preferred the Devil spawn delivery of the previous Rachel. She felt like the perfect child of Kristen DiMera and all the dysfunction she’s been through. The new actress is just a sweet girl.
    • I just read a new post where PersonB was quoting personA and I wanted to comment on the post so I started to quote ... with  I myself as the PersonC. I tried to quote what PersonB quoted from PersonA.  It should have been attributed to PersonA, but before submitting the post, I checked to see how it would display, and it automatically misatributed PersonA's words to PersonB.  So I didn't click to submit the post. So yes this is an ongoing glitch. I will need to take the time to go back and find the original post from PersonA to quote that.

    • I think the story in theory is good.  I don't believe Brook Lynn, Lois, and Dante are the right characters for this.  It becomes wild retcon on top of wild retcon. We watched AL's Brook Lynn talk about losing her virginity to Diego.  Dante and BLQ had multiple conversations about them always being friends.  Dante told Lulu nothing ever happened between him and Brook Lynn.  We saw Cody and Brook Lynn meet on the show.  There was no indication they knew one another previously.  Brook Lynn faked an entire pregnancy for Maxie and wasn't triggered at all by her previous pregnancy?  Brook Lynn never once questioned Gio's existence and her family's obsessiveness over him?  I mean, that fact was added like a month ago, but c'mon, Brook Lynn's not that dumb. Am I enjoying the fallout of this story? Yes, but you practically have to throw out everything you knew about Lois, BLQ, and Dante to make it work and that is annoying to me. With Setton in the role we've already lost Brook Lynn's unique style, edge and her singing talent.  Brook Lynn's basically become an entirely different character and not in a good way.
    • The recast really tanked the character.  I was team Sophia when Madelyn Kientz played her.  I liked her more than Holly.  Now Sophia just walks around on the verge of tears looking meek and scared.  I think now that the show has recast and aged Ari, Sophia is probably on her way out.
