So much for Love in the Afternoon with half of the soaps airing before noon.

Is Phoenix Mountain or Pacific Time Zone?

Mountain Time Zone is the one I know least about. I remember years ago, probably around 1996, while visiting family in northwest Iowa, they had reception for TV stations from Sioux Falls, SD, which I believe is Mountain Time Zone. And Ian Buchanan from B&B did a lil spot saying, B&B came on at 11:30am on KELO. So would the soaps air from 10:30am to 2pm, rather than 11:30 to 3 (Central/Pacific) or 12:30 to 4 (Eastern)?

The Mountain Time Zone definitely had unusual schedules all around for all networks involved. To answer your question Gray Bunny KELO at least on half of South Dakota aired the line-up at it's regular Central Time. The western half, including KELO's satellite station KCLO in Rapid City got the soaps like this an hour behind:

9:00 TPIR

10:00 Y&R

11:00 News

11:30 B&B

12:00 ATWT

1:00 GL

Also Phoenix is Mountain Time but the state doesn't observe DST so pretty can be the same as Pacific Time for a large part of the year.

Examples include:

KRQE Albuquerque

10:00 ATWT

11:00 TPIR

12:00:News

12:30 B&B

1:00 Y&R

2:00 GL

KUTV Salt Lake City

9:00 TPIR

10:00 Y&R

11:00 ATWT(day behind)

12:00 News

1:00 GL

2:00 B&B

KMVT Twin Falls ID:

9:00 TPIR

11:30 B&B

1:00 GL

KMGH Denver(they had an unusual lineup when they were CBS too).

South Georgia, Jan. 2, 1968.

Note: On the surface, it looks like Secret Storm is getting bounced around, but it's time zone differences. Everyone except WXGA and WALB were CBS. The nearest ABC affiliate was Tallahassee, which had a very weak signal. The area wouldn't get solid ABC coverage until 1980.

    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!

    • Bill and Hayley’s living room set should be redressed as their bedroom. We’ve not seen their gorgeous circular entry way set since the first week? Why not utilise that more and build them a living room off those double doors? The hotel room also doesn’t have a bed? Does only Dani have a bedroom?
