Modern Romances week of Nov 15th 1955 featured a story about a young songwriter's efforts to get a tune recorded. A young Connie Francis appeared as part of that storyline.

In May 56 Connie's latest single 'Forgetting'was featured and she performed it May 14th.

Betty Kean and real life husband Lou Parker play husband and wife Oct 57

William Prince appeared week of March 4th 57 as did Don Briggs

The week that featured singer Betty Johnson performing'I Dreamed' had Margaret Phillips as lead and was entitled 'Benefit Performance'.The song was featured daily.

Kathi Norris was hostess for 3 weeks while Martha Scott was on vacation in Oct 56

April 22 1957 - Singer Jim Lowe appears in'Talking to the Blues' acting and performing 'Four Walls' and the title song.

Dr. Bill Stearn...to operate on Gary Corrigan...specialist in his field...not yet seen

Are you sure that it was Randy Robbins on Where the Heart Is?   I had thought that it was Rex Robbins, who I know did appear on that show.

Later (toward the end of the show's run), Mr. Robbins substituted for David O'Brien as Dr. Steve Aldrich on The Doctors.

 

A few more substitutions have been:   Cynthia Belgrave (substituting for Lillian Hayman) as Sadie Gray on One Life to Live.

Nancy Frangione substituting for Andrea Evans as Tina on One Life to Live.

Justin Dees substituting for Gerald Anthony as Marco Dane on One Life to Live.

Ellen Barber substitution for Claire Mallis (I think, although it could have been Robin Strasser) as Dr. Dorian Lord on One Life to Live.

Allan Manson substituting for Henderson Forsythe as Dr. David Stewart on As the World Turns.

Judith Barcroft and Jada Rowland substituted for Marie Masters on As the World Turns.   (Jada Rowland had earlier played the role full-time.)

Delphi Herrington substitution for Judith Barcroft on Ryan's Hope.    (The character was named Barbara.)

Willie Apel substituted for both Barbara Britton as Fran Gordon on One Life to Live and for Mary Fickett as Ruth Martin, R. N. on All My Children.

Actually it was Willi Burke who played Fran Gordon on OLTL. I don't think she was a substitute performer but had replaced Barbara Britton in the role.

I've seen Randy Robbins in three different sources, so perhaps Rex was using Randy at the time, or they just played different characters.

Willi Burke took ober when Barbara Britton passed away(I believe).  Pretty sure I saw all of those in the TR thread and have them, but thank you for letting us know, Danfling.

 

Dr. Bill Stearn arrived in today's second episode dated April 1, 1970.
