Will this have the infamous slow motion/montage sequences solely put there to pad out the running time?

They start shooting in February. Bro-foolery has already begun.

Wow, so it seems they're actually recasting all the characters with current actors. Dwayne Johnson is the new Mitch, and the new C.J. Parker has just been cast. I suppose Zac Efron will be Matt Brody or Cody Madison.

The movie has started shooting. Interesting that there's more female characters than male -- I hope they don't make BAYWATCH into some 2-hour leering at butts and boobs thing. I mean, that's what BAYWATCH was, but it also did the exact same thing with the men. :D I'm hoping some more male eye candy rounds up the supporting cast, unless Efron and Johnson didn't want the competition lol

It looks a mess! A fun muscle-and-boobs mess! At least both men & women get the same treatment lol

Oh lord. The characters have the same names as characters from the original series, but that's about it LOL My beloved Matt Brody was NOT such a douche, but it's whatever. Looks like it'll be fun, but they seem to be spending a surprisingly large amount of time away from the beach.
