August 8, 201411 yr Member In scenes I have watched on YT I really enjoy Bundy. I've seen so little pre Monty GH, and often what I have seen is pretty bland. Not just dated, I have really enjoyed stuff from Bill Bell era Days or early Y&R, or 1970's OLTL and AMC. GH just seems bland before Monty's arrival.

August 8, 201411 yr Member GH's ratings were in the toilet prior to Monty. She was brought in to turn things around. She succeeded. Oh I'm well aware of that. I mean scenes I've watched from way before that, when the show wasn't in ratings trouble. Early GH doesn't have the same impact for me as early episodes and storylines from other shows during the same era.
August 9, 201411 yr Member Friends who have seen ATWT back in the day have told me that a shocker to them was the very first "Hello, Barbara" from James Stenbeck (I think Anthony Hererra had been on Loving and then once that gig ended, came back to ATWT to resurrect the presumed-dead James). Speaking of which, who was "dead" more often - James Stenbeck or Stefano DiMera?
August 9, 201411 yr Member Not knowing Days at all, my guess would still be Stefano. James had relatively short stints in Oakdale. He was presumed dead five times, in an airplane crash, in the Ruxton Hills fire, in a helicopter crash, when Paul shot him and then when he fell off a lighthouse. Six, perhaps, if you don't believe Audrey managed to kill him with a syringe full of poison.
August 9, 201411 yr Member True, and with both ATWT gone and Anthony Herrera having since passed away, Stefano could take that record handily now.
