At the time of her firing, she was the second longest serving cast member. Jane Rossington being the longest. Allegedly she asked for a raise, EP Smethurst who had utter contempt for Crossie fired her. Sharon leaving the motel to work with mentally challenged kids. Gave her a renewed sense of purpose. The years of disastrous affairs had taken their toll on Sharon.
