Here's the additional cast/co-stars of the leads

Nate Corddry (Harry’s Law), Matt Jones (Breaking Bad), French Stewart (3rd Rock From the Sun), Spencer Daniels (The Office), Sadie Calvano (J. Edgar), Blake Garrett Rosenthal

I'll try and watch because I do like Anna and I adore Allison Janney but Anna hasn't been funny to me in years -- even when she did comedy on HBOs Entourage... so I don't know how this'll go.

I doubt this will a failure. It's a Chuck Lorre show, he has yet to produce a show that's a failure. All his shows he's created have gotten at least 4 seasons. Not saying he can't produce a dud, but so far it's unwise to bet against him. Mom's likely going to get sandwiched between two other Chuck Lorre shows, BBT and 2.5 Men, I'd have to bomb on purpose to fail.

Full season pickup. Show has been improving quality wise and getting funnier with every episode. Ratings aren't great, but it hasn't had a great lead in either. it's been retaining nearly all of the audience of what airs before it. I hope it being a Chuck Lorre show, CBS keeps it around for longer than a season, because with time and a little bit of help (post TBBT slot next year?) it has potential to be a hit.

    • I admit...I too thought of Penny and Good Times at that ending with SilkPress.
    • Yes, just so.  Thanks for the info. I could tell this was going to be a big thing with ShawnD in this danger! Especially love that the little guy is Andrew!
    • I think the shocker would be if he's NOT playing Dumas. That's where Josh Griffith plays most of his stories. Now they have Cole "self-isolating" because they don't want to put up that hospital set. Will Cole cough himself to death at the GCAC? What a "storyline." I can't believe how much JG is playing with us regarding Nick and Sharon. The teasing has become pathetic, especially for Shick fans who want them back together. My guess is that he'll reveal his real name once he is exposed.
    • Maybe we'll meet Leslie's mama who'll be a former Articulette and they'll build the rival family from there that a lot of people seem to think is missing. It'd make sense considering Anita's been hammering on about going on tour and reviving her music career.
    • hahaha at the Brennan shade.   But even I saw this and have to agree. What's really sad is that some of the person on that list could easily have a love interest that is on the canvas. They just need to be written for.
    • The thought has crossed my mind. Tricia Mann-Grant did say in her EW interview w/ MVJ and DD, that Leslie wants to be a Dupree just as bad as she wants Eva to be. I believe now that's the direction they are going in, that maybe she is just obsessed with the family. I could be wrong though.
    • True. But I have always had mixed feelings about that twist. Since I love the Damian storyline which already had twists and turns. Also I could not wait for a new powerful AND BLACK businessman to mix it up at some point with Victor. It just seem like another twist that was added on for twist sake. And also for a character (whether I love him or not) to hijack a new and refreshing storyline so they can be propped.    Once good thing that I can say about JG is that he loves to keep the Abbotts in rotation. So I could see that happening with Diane. I don't think she has mentioned her backstory, either. I would be intrigued.
    • That's how I feel. Beats could have been played for the past couple months wherein Dante and Gio interacted and had a difference of opinion -- or something. I don't know. I do know that this crushing rant that blames everything on Gio is absurd. -- Reading over all the comments here about characters and couples, it's kind of amazing that we have any show left considering the number of times actors and writers and execs were given influence to make major character and story decisions. Too many cooks in the kitchen.
