GH: OLTL 3 (ACTORS) return

That's my only problem with this. The actors/performers CLEARLY do not wish to do this (Vee, if still in doubt, check Twitter and MF's new article criticizing the 3 for wanting to remain on GH) and PP is trying to force them. Is this really how they want to spend their time and money? PP needs to focus on OLTL and not 3 characters who are not needed. If the show is good, they won't be missed.

Ann, we are beyond the point of how dumb ABC are. We've also addressed the need of the 3 on any show. THEY ARE NOT NEEDED ON EITHER (personally, I need Todd on GH, but that is not important to the topic at hand). How long have ALL shows had/kept characters that were not needed or focused on too much? Nothing new here. The bottom line is the 3 don't wish to go to an online show (with no certainty), take less and pay their own expense on top of that.

Spite? I think recasting the 3 on PP is more spiteful than anything when the actors/performers are the real draw anyway. That's very petty!

And poor KDP! Her obsession with her fictional husband is out of hand. She's losing it over this latest development. Where's James?!

John and Todd still had story threads to wrap up in OLTL. Starr didn't, but she's also the daughter and niece of some of the show's most longtime characters. I don't think OLTL needs them, but if they had to recast, I would understand. I don't understand the idea that GH needs any of them. For RC/FV to say they are all so desperately needed on GH feels mostly like people who you are kind enough to let stay in your home, under certain conditions, and they keep trying to tell you how wonderful their pets are, even if you tell them a hundred times that you can't have pets.

FV/RC are like every other soap writer locked in a lunatic echo chamber. Despite years of insisting that GH would collapse without Jason, the show has gone one just fine so it is not going to off the rails without there three newly arrived OLTL characters. Just get on with it.

Right, I had forgotten that things ended badly with GH and GV. Something with Geary at his obnoxious worse.

Well Carl, you do remember Frank's interview where he had no problem stating that these characters were just what GH needed. You remember that, don't you? I almost blew my stack.

Oh, and Roger's 4 weeks is to wrap up the Victor stuff, so he's doing his part.

Under a new regime, anything is possible. I'd love GV back. Geary has no juice left, so if he walked, cash is free to bring back 5 people!

I'd forgotten it. If they're what GH needed he sure never bothered to write those stories. When you have to hide one of your characters for months on end and steal his lookalike from PC, then you're admitting your character sucks.

Good morning, VH!

KDP is not protecting the integrity of a character or pairing as Blair has skeeved her way thru many many many men. It's not about that. Characters move on and are allowed to love more than one person, ESPECIALLY when a show croaked over a year ago. KDP is obsessed here, and I don't think I recall any other actor protecting the "integrity" of a pairing quite this way. It's almost unhinged. Again, where is James?!

This will be the closest thing we get to a test case of the theory that "so-and-so" brings up ratings. A lot of people credited The Three with GH's ratings boost. If that hypothesis is true then ratings should begin to drop and then tick back up again if/when they return in whatever form.

Top of the morning to you, CH.

For the record, I wasn't just referring to KdP but since her name is brought up - she knows her character inside and out and has for 20 years, so I'd say that she has plenty of right to speak out when something in the milk isn't clean with the way they write Blair Cramer and her pairings (especially her most popular one). Furthermore, up until last year, she was very loyal to TIIC (some may argue that she played by the rules far too much - which may have hurt her more than it helped her), so it's not as if she was always snapping back. She only spoke up when she saw that:

a. Cartini used her to prop a quarter-water version of her character

b. Cartini had the nerve to think that many a soap fan would buy that Todd would fall head over heels over said bootleg character

I have no problem with this because it shows me that she cares about the decades of work that she put in to making Blair one of soap's most beloved anti-heroines, as well as the fans who've held her down through thick and thin. Frankly, I'd rather that she'd be passionate about this than be a female TG who has no qualms about a hack turning his legendary character into a drunken assh0le who could care less about the fact that he killed his beloved Lucky's son.

She just comes off as bitter, IMO, that the choose good over her and that they had the nerve to have Todd move on - despite the fact that he never had much of a proble, doing that before. Her jealousy of Todd/Carly, RH on GH, and LW really does across as pathetic on twitter.
