Y&R and Days Sex Scandals! (SOD)

I haven't enjoyed a soap opera affair story in ages. I'm loving Lauren's fling with Carmine. I don't know that I want it to become long term but I wouldn't mind Lauren and Michael divorcing either. I'm sick of them together.

Ooo, I actually, I think that Lauren and Carmine sleep together today not Monday. It is going to be soooo good!

That couple has been stable and broing for too long and it changed the characters personalities. Y&R has too many stable boring couples.

I don't mind stable married couples who have problems or adventures, but Y&R has too many badly matched couples, period. A hammer needs to be taken to every single couple on that show. I just hope that after Cane/Lily and Michael/Lauren, Chloe/Kevin and Billy/Victoria are next in the line of destruction.

I'm so happy for you.

Thank you. :) It was a long time coming, but it is finally here.

Please tell me they aren't going to call prison rape a gay reveal.

I don't know if Marcy Rylan qualifies as an "ingenue"...

Is it me or is SOD using the old cover format Weekly used to have? I know they were sister publications but it seems even more blatant now.

Please tell me they aren't going to call prison rape a gay reveal.

I think it was severely poorly worded by SOD because I would hope that no one intentionally would use this as a headline.

Carl, give me your opinion. Do you think Nick being raped in prison is a cop out and that they should run with the homophobe story (allow Nick his bigotry but get him to the point to where he keeps it to himself once he gets to really know Will...I'm not looking for Nick to miraculously "heal" from his beliefs here) or should the rape in prison be used as a legitimate reason? I guess it all may depend on the writing, but I just wanted your input or what you think would have been the best route.

Since Nick in the past did not seem to be a bigot, I guess it makes sense if they want to say this is the reason why. I think they could have done this in other ways, because this isn't a show I trust with rape storylines, but Blake Berris is a wonderful actor and I would trust him with the material. The real question for me is what Nick will become. If Nick still ends up as a psycho, then I would rather they not do this story.
