My father surprised me several years ago when he came out as a GH watcher. When he got out of the Navy in 1967, he took a job working the third shift. By the time he'd wake up, GH would be on so he'd watch that. He started naming Steve and Audrey and he specifically liked Jessie Brewer! I was ohmy.png dumbfounded! Granted, by the early 1970s, his job situation changed so he wasn't around to watch anymore, but I just found that really interesting!

The whole story is posted on YT along with other classic GH stories. You should check it out, it is worth the re-watch. Robin is adorable, Anna, beautiful, but blind, Duke, handsome and corrupt, Robert, dashing and heroic, Sean, concerned and sweet, Frisco and Felicia, young and passionate, Oh, the memories.

The sound is out on my ABC station because we're having a flood today...basically. So, 3 out of 6 locals are messed up on my satellite dish.

So, GH taped...but, without sound. LOL.

I don't even know if I wanna look it up on YT later. It sounds like it was absolute crap (from what I read over on some other boards) And, I can't watch on SN later because Dallas is on at the same time. And, there's no way I'm missing JR's funeral!

Why don't the two people that actually love Konnie (Sonny, Olivia) insist that she run not walk to a mental facility? Do they honestly think she is just okay to hang out about town and maybe do some outpatient therapy? This is so ridiculous. And Sonny is reduced to spending the day talking about teenagers book which his lover's alter took? This is a story that is airing on national television?

And don't get me started on Rh/Liz being reduced to propping Sabrina! She should be holding pom-poms in today's scene. I am glad RH got paid for a day of work, but I am sure she has better uses for her time. And does any adult (I guess Sabrina is considered an adult) actually confess a crush like that to a thirty something father and doctor? Today's scenes were better suited for an episode of Saved By the Bell....Actually, I apoligize to SBTB, your show was too sophisticated for this.

I can't even believe Spinelli would betray Ellie like that. He continues to prove he is a horrible human being....Are the writers trying to make him even more unlikable? Let Maxie have him. Those two nitwits deserve each other. Ellie deserves so much better.

Finally, LW's hair is THE WORST. Why did she do that? She has such pretty hair and now it looks like Joss cut her hair with a weedwacker and it's so fried and flat-ironed within an inch of it's life. I am no OLTL fan, but this Todd/Carly stuff must be rough on the Todd/Blair fans.

@carolineg

I guess Sonny's story is supposed to be riveting and leave us breathless. Why isn't this woman in treatment? Sonny sexing her up so we can have alters arguing about who gets the magic weenie! RIDICULOUS!

As for LW's hair?! My god! I just don't understand how someone with sight and naturally beautiful hair could think that cut was a good idea! Of course, the GH hair stylists have been laid off and the women are either doing their own hair or one anothers, but LW's hair just makes no sense! It's awful!

    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

      I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
