These people are GH fans, so I take their comments that way. Why can't other web soaps be included because they are short form shows that have many less episodes. I think the Daytime Emmys could include other web shows, but if they are limited in scope (less than 100 episodes a calendar year and under 17 minutes each which is the length of each B&B episode) they should not be in the same category as the traditional tv soaps. They could create a category for shorter or longer shows that have less episodes as that would be more equitable.

exactly, but they don't think AMC and OLTL are in par with the network soaps now??? just wait till GH goes to PP

I am ten minutes in and wow I can't stand these women. "You can not judge its success by the hulu viewer count alone" bla bla.

yeah I know... they rave about the web soaps and GH most of all, but are hard on OLTL and AMC?? that's why I semi-want PP to get GH already

Ha that same woman just acted shocked and disgusted to hear that they swear on the show--so she obviously didn't watch. (Oh she just admitted that...)

Devanity and Venice look better than the online soaps? OK I don't think I can listen to any more of this... The main hostess seems to speak to the audience like they're her preschool class.

Ha I can't stop listening. That same woman is going on about how the AMC/OLTL should use fan backing and creative input, and that they should learn not to have story interference like on network tv (which, we assume, they more or less have...) Sigh.

My response to these idiots

Ok are you guys seriously trying to compare AMC & OLTL to Devanity & Venice. Those shoot 13 Episodes a YEAR. AMC & OLTL shoot 210 episodes a year EACH. That apples and Oranges. Also AMC & OLTL are not web soaps. They are TV sops that just happen to air on Hulu, Hulu Plus & Itunes. No offense stop talking about it if U havent even watched an episode of the revivals until you do. Your oopinion means NOTHING

I've never heard these women before, but my immediate impression is the uber GH fan who didn't watch the others, bosses around the other two women. As soon as she says something they meekly say "yes... that's true..." and then she spouts off some more, lol.

In other news, about the mysterious departure of Susie B-H from One Life, she just facebooked that's she's off to the train to pick up Thom for their weekly dinner.

And I've seen Venice and DeVanity.....Production wise, there is no comparison, AMC/OLTL has them beat. You can't compare the two because AMC/OLTL actually has a studio, sets, professional crews. lol It's like comparing a Hilton with a Motel 6. It's actually unfair to "Venice".

Acting.... DeVanity is atrocious. Venice at least has some decent actors.... although I do think the love for that show also had to do with the fact that there are recognizable soap actors starring in the series.

It looks like by this season Devanity has that too (ex soap stars I mean). Devanity must have SOME money despite what these women say--I first heard about it due to a glossy, full page back cover ad on the SOD/SOW All My CHildren special collector's magazine.

But yes, these women (or the bossy one anyway) contradict themselves constantly. So these should only be compared to other websoaps? And in that respect they're not innovative and are lacking? Swearing is a bad thing on them, but Devanity has even more swearing? One has a handful of episodes a year, etc, etc, etc
