February 12, 201313 yr Member Thank you to marceline for starting this thread. I moved nearly 3 pages of posts from the DTS thread to this thread. Feel free to edit and remove spoiler tags in here. Scripts are up for Uri and Vlad. This is probably going into spoiler territory as these scripts have an episode number (1006). Jesse and Zach are working together to find someone close to Jesse. She is named "Regina" which I'd assume is code name for a Hubbard family member. Uri and Vlad clearly want to sell "Regina" into prostitution. She's tied to a bed, has ripped clothes and they're trying to get her hooked on drugs.
February 12, 201313 yr Member Re the spoiler, PP seems to be liking stories like this on both shows. I guess it boils down to how the execution is. But if this is what they mean by edgier stories (I mean the Destiny one too) I kinda shake my head... Edited February 12, 201313 yr by EricMontreal22
February 12, 201313 yr Member They can't possibly both have young black prostitutes at the same time! One story I can handle and wait to judge the execution. Two at once is a bit much from the same company. Sure, it's a story as old as the hills with damsels in distress like Kimberly Brady or Billie Reed or whoever, but it just sends a poor message. I hope we're extrapolating all this wrong. Edited February 12, 201313 yr by Vee

C'mon writers don't write crap that got you cancelled in the first place.
February 12, 201313 yr Member Taken is very popular film so maybe they are doing something along those lines
February 12, 201313 yr Author Member I did flash back to 1997 or was it 1998 and the J.L. King/Billie/Bo storyline upon reading this. I think referring to white characters who had the same storyline is pretty close to spoiling, so lets try to use brackets unless we take it to the spoiler forum. Unlike previous scripts, the Vlad and Uri scrips have an actual script number so it will likely be airing online. I don't think AMC's storyline is racist. It's a story soaps would use for a white character and have. I won't comment on OLTL's. It's different writers.
February 12, 201313 yr Member Doing similar stories at the same time, wow. Why is the black characters to boot too
February 12, 201313 yr Member I don't think it's racist, no. I just think it's truly unfortunate if both shows are going down a similar path simultaneously. But I'll wait to judge.
February 12, 201313 yr Author Member Hmm... Taken. Yeah. What I do like is Jesse is definitely the Liam Neeson character. The lead. Zach is more the sidekick who has European sources/contacts. I just think it's truly unfortunate if both shows are going down a similar path simultaneously. I can understand that - the hesitation.
February 12, 201313 yr Member Well both shows were going to do ripped from the headlines type of stories... sadly, a sugardaddy.com website is more realistic then we'd like to believe. I'm doing a wait and see type of thing before making judgements... but I do think having both shows online will work to their advantage. I still think the cyber bullying storyline that OLTL did would have gone a different way if online as opposed to on ABC.
February 12, 201313 yr Member I hope that's the way it plays out. If this was on Frons's ABC it would be all Zach.

Right, and I guess human sex trafficking is a fairly big issue right now and AMC hasn't exactly never had a story with a prostitute abused by her pimp but this can so easily become just icky and exploitive
February 12, 201313 yr Member I hope that's the way it plays out. If this was on Frons's ABC it would be all Zach. no actually it'd be all Ryan, Ryan was the pet, not Zach(at least not of Frons') I still think the cyber bullying storyline that OLTL did would have gone a different way if online as opposed to on ABC. What makes you think it would be any different, online doesn't mean they'd do anything different
February 12, 201313 yr Member What makes you think it would be any different, online doesn't mean they'd do anything different And it also doesn't mean they wouldn't. There has been some claims that they'll be able to tell edgier (which in terms of the cyber bullying could mean more realistic) stories. Of course there's no definite there, at all, but.
