Im so excited for the wedding reveal.

I'd be more excited if I didn't feel like everything leading up to this had happened in the span of a few episodes.

Its been happening for months now.

the will/gabi sex, melanies kidnapping & the ej/rafe blackmail being tied in, sonny/will coming together and being in an relationship, wills rash decision to let nick claim the kid, sami being there when gabi found out, weaving in hope, adrianne, lucas, maggie, julie, the lies about how far along she is, the fast track proposal and rush to a wedding. I love it, and im not just saying it because im trying to defend days. Days has been absolutely awful for the last two years with, for me, this story and how it all came together and has played out by weaving together other stories and bringing characters in. As much as i like Kristens return, this story is the reason ive kept an interest in days for the last five months and I am so excited it comes out at the wedding - and i am going to need a Sami vs Gabi scene and Sami to realize she herself has done this - with every child.

It's been awful for way longer than two years, with intermittent bright spots always tamped down for more of the same.

This Nick/Gabi/Will story is ludicrous to me. He met and got engaged to her in like twenty minutes, Will slept with her again for no reason, and now these people are all letting insane, OOC psycho Nick order them around.

The Erik Valdez/Trey section of the cover made me guffaw.

For me, there have been fantastic times for the show - the entire baby switch saga from the start, from Mia's arrival to the shocking death of grace - even that summer when it started to drag was good and the reveal was fantastic, of course after that it was a disaster. the Steph/Nathan/Mel/Phil quad was one of the best ive seen in years on a soap as i rooted for all the possible couplings, and loved the way it involved the older generation. But from the start of 2011 into the reboot up until the dayasaster it was just been completely awful, save the few moments i liked such as the ejami sex & will walking in and will/sami/marlena & carrie/rafe so i cant agree that it was been awful for way longer, but for the better part of 8 years i can say its been overall mediocre at best.

its so frustrating to me too because there is so much potential. having Corday, Sony & NBC really is a blessing because its the reason its still around, but its a curse because it is never able to go anywhere as its stuck in a merry go round round of power and ego. its such a shame that when Dena, of all people, brought new life to the show it wasnt able to keep it going. That is the one time i feel it trutly moved on from the 80's and 90's and into a great place.

OMG, there's so much truth in that statement, I don't know where to begin.

Actually I think this is coming out too soon. I thought it wouldnt happen til the baby was at least born and they got to play off Nick as the fake bio dad for a while

I think I might enjoy it more if Nick thought he was the father. It just bothers me that he is ordering around the biological parents. He could still be a complete jerk regarding Will and Salem in general without knowing. And their interrupting a wedding to reveal something both the bride and the groom know and the baby's father all know.
