I miss Tuscany on Days. I much prefer Salem Place to the HTS, and I went to Salem Place about a year ago and it was still in pretty good condition and he construction next to it is over... I also loved John;s loft that Belle lived in.

yeah, days tends to use public sets - HTS, pub, hospital, coffe shop - or sets of places were multiple people live/visist - dimansion, kiriakis mansion, alices house, samis house. we also see gabis bedroom at the pub a lot, and sonnys apartment sometimes. thats about it, for the most part.

ATWT in its last era had a real issue with this. Nuke, I believe, at some point moved into their own apartment which, I at least, never saw--instead they'd always be out talking about pretty private stuff on a bench in that city set, etc.

This penthouse set of Dorian's speaks to my taste and I prefer it to her next home, La Boulaie. I think Victor Newman's new penthouse should more closely resemble it, darker and moodier.

EVERYTHING on Days is discussed in the Town Square. Usually around the tree or right off the little enclave where the sofas are for the nightclub that appears here and there but we never see, LOL.

Thank goodness Days changed their mind about ditching the Horton House.

It's interesting to look back at early episodes and see how it was modified over the years (for the worse)Tom used to have a den and there was a front porch and dining room.To me it was one of the best 'core family' homes. I read that it was actually a set built for a nightime pilot and it showed in the detail and floor plan.

Some of these sets are as much characters as the people on the show.

I love the Horton house, and its the only upside of Jennifer being on the show to me right now, lol.

I dont mind the modifactions over the years, besides even if they hadnt all we would see today is the porch/foyer/living room.

Ha I barely watch Days, but I admit I notice that everytime I turn it on--and always wonder why there are random sofas (didn't know it was meant to be the outside of a night club... lol).

Well, the HTS is a shopping mall but its enclosed with a retractable roof (really) so their are benches/chairs around and then some odd configuration of sofas popped up off to the side and then we found out its like a nightclub. Its all very odd and contrived but its days so ya just accept it or itll drive you mad.

Not that i miss it and want it back but when Y&R introduced the Athletic Club they had that weird rooftop(?) pool area where business meetings took place while bikini babes frolicked around.

Also the break room was introduced at Newman.

Wonder why newish sets are dropped-surely a waste of precious $$$$

I wish since GH now has Anna, Robert and whoever that they would rebuy the old Scorpio home Robert lived in with Holly and update their superspy Batcave that was hidden behind the sliding wall. Anna could do her work in there and the Drakes could move in with her.
