Members Money
I really don't know what the hoopla is over this vid. It's fluff and fun. People are acting like it's a cardinal sin. The only sin is Travolta's hairline and that ridiculous hair dye.
Members alphanguy74
There's hoopla? I agree about Travolta's hairline... that looks ridiculous. This song is ok... not one of John Farrar's best efforts, but I wouldn't want to have anyone else try to write for Olivia (Unless it's herself)
Members Chris B
I don't understand why Travolta didn't find them a movie if he wanted to reunite with her. Olivia Newton John has done a lot of great work in recent years. And if they had to release an album, you'd think he could afford top notch producers. The production on this track is terrible. I've seen soap stars release better work and you know they're working with a small budget.
Members alphanguy74
I've been reading the comments and 90 percent of the ire is directed at Travolta. That's a relief... Livvy doesn't deserve any hassle. I do think the production of this song is weak. I'm still trying to find out who actually produced it.. the producer listing in the video, is I assume, the producer of the video, and not the song. But yes, in the last 20 years, Olivia has done some great work, and had many top notch productions, there isn't anything lacking about material like this: Please register in order to view this content That's why I'm puzzled at the cheesy sound of this new tune. Members alphanguy74
I found out the producer is Randy Waldman. To be fair, I listened to the clips of the rest of the songs, and this song in the video is the worst one on the album. He did produce one of Manhattan Transfer's albums in the 80's, and to be honest his style suits them... I don't think it suits Olivia. Travolta's voice is also too far forward in the mixes, and he's pretty jarring. He needs to be masked by a heavy production, or he needs to sing in a different way.. he';s just not that good.
