NBC is #1!

Every week this television season (so far three), a shocking thing has happened: NBC is the #1 network in the 18-49 demographic. (CBS still remains the leader in total viewers.) Not even executives at NBC could have imagined this in their wildest dreams, though almost everybody expects NBC not to finish the season as the #1 network.

Obviously, the success of Revolution and The Voice contributed greatly to this triumph. It also helps that the other networks have made some bad decisions. Aside from Vegas, I think that CBS really screwed up with its new programming.

Jane, what surprised me is that despite having Sunday Night Football since 2006, (I believe) NBC was in fourth place every year they had that property until now.

I am really impressed with the new NBC leadership, as I thought it would take many years to dig themselves out of the hole Zucker dug for them. I seem to recall a comment he made in regards to his belief that NBC could never be #1 again.

Well good for NBC, I've always rooted for them, even if I don't watch any NBC programs expect Days of Our Lives and The New Normal. Oh, and SNL.

i watch those and the Thursday comedies. I don't care for prime time on the other networks except X-factor and Glee on Fox
