Members JAS0N47
Last year, we learned that Joe Mascolo (Stefano) was a few years older than thought. Now, the same has happened with Peggy McCay (Caroline). Thanks to the 1940 census, and supporting info from a 1949 New York Times article, Peggy's first name has been confirmed as Margaret (although I always thought Peggy was just a nickname, I never had read anywhere about it being anything but Peggy). Also, while her birthdate for many years has been listed as 1931, she was actually born in 1927. Members DRW50
That's fascinating stuff. I like that Peggy still looks so recognizable. She's a great actress, especially from what I've seen of her Love of Life work.
Members Gray Bunny
I think her look changed drastically between Love of Life vs. Days of Our Lives. I remember once seeing an episode of LOL (on WoST probably?) and didn't even realize it was her til I saw the closing credits. Same voice though. Members BoldBeauty
When was Joe Mascolo born? I always thought he was born 1935. That Peggy was born in 1927 makes sense to me. She looked about 65-ish when I first started watching DOOL in mid 90s. I would have guessed 80-85 just like Jeanne Cooper on Peggy.

Members BoldBeauty
Wow, he's 83? Good genes. I have been shocked all week by peoples real ages. Saw a man I thought was 60. Turned out he was 80. I am losing my grip on reality here! lol.
