I just found this Y&R cast photo from the early 2000's online, I just had to share:

I am loving the whole layout! It definitely screams high budget to me, and was a great break from the choir boys poses of years pass.

I also loved that they had basically their entire bevy of recurring players featured. I even spot Beth Maithland!

What do you think? Have a favourite Y&R cast photo? I think the recent ones have looked terrible and classless.

My favorite is the one they did for the 20th anniversary that shot in 1992-1993.

Y&R is just as bad with getting a new cast photo done, than they are at updating their opening, which just celebrated it 9th birthday on Friday.

This is a really nice photo all though I'm here trying to remember who some of those people are!

I wish John Abbott and Traci Connolly were on the stairs in the place of Olivia and what's-his-face; I think they deserve more prominence. They should have moved Brody Hutzler too.

A new opening might not even be necessary at all if Maria is gonna just add her "stars" to the opening leaving all the vets out.

Did GH finish their new opening or do they still have that powerpoint presentation because that was easier an opening to update than Y&R's

I was not a fan of this one, or the follow-up one that was a mimic of this one. Akward poses b y some of the larger men whose imposing frames should not have been seated on the floor (e.g., Keith Hamilton Cobb, Don Diamont), and there are too many depths of field, the people in the back look like midgets.

I'm not sure if she was there long enough. I thought it might be Vail Bloom but why is she with Jeffrey?

Seeing that reminds me of some of the LML castings I did like. She was a bad writer/producer but she cast some good people.
