Thanks for sharing. Not a fan of Whitesell at all.

I am sure people here will laugh at LML's remarks but I happen to be a fan of hers. Very insightful Ill have to look for that book by Jean R.

Thanks for this article. A lot of insights from generations of writers. It's too bad that the idea of Margo and Eddie turned into such pure trash.

I wish they had just interviewed Ann Marcus and Jean Rouverol and left the others alone.

Unfortunately, so many of these head writers talked the talk, but never walked the walk. They knew all the buzz words, having heard them from the greats: Bell, Marlard, Slesar, Nixon, Phillips, Lemay. If only they had put them into practice, so many shows wouldn't be off the air today, including ATWT, Sunset Beach and Port Charles.

Going after Rocco was not supposed to happen, it will just bring attention to the lab. 11/20/2025 -- having lunch with Ava, who warns him about hurting Lucas <3 12/8/2025 -- waiting for Lucas after his shift at work. Lucs requests some food from Pascal. As they are chatting, Chaes arrives to search the compound for Valentin, but doesn't find him (he's not there) Marco and Lucas go up to bed, but Lucas wakes up alone. The family left it up to Laura to punish him. She tells him he has to move out. 11/12/2025 -- supportive and loyal to Laura. heads to work with Alexis... 11/24/2025 -- comes into Laura's office to be the first to congratulate her but is pissy because Sonny beat him there. Warns her that Sonny is as bad as Cyrus was. 11/26/2025 -- with Drew at the PC Grille -- after Stella shreds Drew and he re-threatens to have her investigated. Martin reminds him that he will walk. He and Trina overhear the news that Portia is pregnant and are there when the police show up for Curtis. 12/2/2025 -- at the Ashford home with a pissed Trina. She's angry that no one told her that her mother was preggers, she's angry about Jordan being at their home, she's angry to see Jordan kiss her dad, and she's ticked the police are there to see Curtis. 12/4/2025 -- with Trina, still upset about EVERYTHING! It's a good sign when Curtis leaves the PCPD. 12/5/2025 -- with Trina after she talked to Joss. They should find the truth from Drew's shooting. 12/11/2025 -- visits Curtis with Trina.

After Emma throws a drink at scummy Dalton. Dalton is not worth it to him. 11/21/2025 -- with Sonny discussing Rocco and how Dante doesn't care for him. Michael arranges a meeting between Gio and BLQ at the hospital. She knows he wasn't responsible for Rocco's choice and tells him Dante erupts when he's worried. Gio calls BLQ mom. 12/1/2025 -- Gio shows up at the mansion for Thanksgiving. While the Q's bring the dinner Chase made to the hospital to take care of the staff -- the way Monica would; Gio stays with Ned and they bond. 12/2/2025 -- Taking the pizza boxes out and runs into BlQ. The two bond some more (finally).   12/3/2025 -- Emma and Gio meet at the Brown Dog to talk recon on Dalton's lab.They bring the dogs from the lab to Sonny's house  12/4/2025 -- Emma and Gio show up at Sonny's house with a gaggle of dogs that they rescued from Dalton's hidden lab. Rocco is there because of his fight with Dante, who shows up. Ric tells them that they are compromising Rocco's freedom, because they broke the law. Rocco wants his dad to let it go... @Vee @DRW50 @Broderick I purchased the 2012 e-edition of Peter M. Bracke's book Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th last October. Alas, it doesn't really have Kimberly Beck clear the air about her 1983 departure from Capitol. The e-edition quotes Ms. Beck as saying, "By the time of [Friday the 13th:] The Final Chapter, I had just left a soap opera called Capitol that I had been on for two years." In the e-edition, she doesn't say that she was "fired" or "let go" from Capitol. However, she is quoted as saying the following:
"You don't do porn or anything like that, but you do what you have to do to sustain the lifestyle that you've created. For me, I owned a home, and I had just divorced a really wealthy man and took nothing. I was struggling just to support myself and retain my dignity. It wasn't like I could be picky. And I had to fight to get that part. I had to go in and read a million times. And that, to me, is respectable."

Even considering what is said in this article as well as this other article, I can't say that Kimberly Beck was legally fired from Capitol in 1983. Should Ms. Beck have been ineligible for unemployment benefits just because the powers that be didn't think she was well suited to play a revised version of the Julie Clegg character?
In any case, I can't say it doesn't bother me that Ms. Beck didn't appear in too much of note after Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter cleaned up at the box office. Yes, she did appear on L.A. Law in 1987, but it just for one episode. Was Ms. Beck offered roles on any daytime soap operas after she left Capitol in 1983? Peter Barton, one of her castmates in The Final Chapter, did appear as Dr. Scott Grainger on The Young and the Restless from 1988 to 1993. (Kimberly Beck has admitted to briefly dating Peter Barton, but I can't independently verify IMDb's claim that they shared an apartment during the early '80s.)
