$40 and nothing else. Yet. I normally wait for my parents' present they give me until January.

Though, I usually know what it is. This year they're getting me a Kindle Fire.

Santa brought me the results of my ancestral DNA test. For the first time in my life I finally have some idea what part of Africa my mother's family came from. It turns out I even have a number of Latino relatives because apparently my ancestors were sold into this country through South America. Not to go all Alex Haley but it's nice to discover this part of my "Roots."

I'm really looking forward to the results about my father's side of the family. He died such a long time ago and since he was an only child there's no one left to test. It'll really be nice to learn something new about him and especially nice to learn about my paternal grandfather since he died when my dad was just two years old.

If there's anyone on this site with a background in genetics who might be willing to help me decipher these results, please PM me. I'm lost in a sea of data.
