Katrina is Aubrey's mother, yes, I guess.

I think at this time viewers still didn't know that Marco was Mario. Marco pretended to be a doctor for a while, and when Karen realized who he really was, Marco said he was able to learn enough about medicine by spending days and nights reading medical books. A horrified Karen said she'd keep his secret as long as he stopped practicing medicine.

If anybody has a Twitter account they could ask RC. He sometimes answers fans questions. He said he had an idea for a Wanda Wolek and Karen Wolek cameo so maybe it was somehow related to that.
