The first version of the Tour Of Llanview II opening premiered in Nov. 1995. It replaced the "porn" opening. And, yes. The first TOLII opening had Marty/Patrick in it. They left soon after though.

You are looking at the character at 2 different points in his life. Back here in 1995 he still had alot of rage, anger and unresolved issues which have not been dealt with. He was very much a badass who was scared to show any emotions as he feared being viewed as weak. In 2007ish he had a family, kids, wife whom he loved and alot more to lose. You cant directly compare the situations. And BTW, Todd has cried under RH since his 2011 return so the notion that Todd would never cry is completely false

The blue opening with faces debuted when I was in high school but I remembered it coming later, but now that I think of it, November was practically '96 --11th grade!

The makeup has gotten heavier. The lighting design is similar in many respects but the show currently favors alot of blaring sunlight pouring through windows now.

The show had a lot of class during this era. This episode has me slightly bored. RSW was still kind of attractive..
