November 28, 201114 yr Member This was just a shock to keep us remembering Matthew! They could've, oh I don't know...used him in an actual storyline within the last six months if they wanted us to care about him. I hate these writers lol.

I don't about you, but I know I still care for him and from other posts I've seen so do a boatload of others. Just saying.......
November 28, 201114 yr Member I never stopped caring about Matthew, although they certainly spent the last year trying to make us.
November 28, 201114 yr Member I don't think it's that any of us ever stopped caring about Matthew, it's just the impression that his importance as a character has been downplayed, his condition back burnered. Sure, it's hard to judge when you're dealing with a character in a coma, but it's really hard to give allowances when you know the show's track record. Let Ford had been in that hospital bed and imagine the endless vigils and sponge baths. I'm sure they love EA over there, but they certainly play airhog favorites. I think what we're reacting to is this rush job ending for a character like Matthew. Narrating what we now know is the final TG show and getting a helluva cliffhanger at that certainly makes up for *something*, but he has been missed for the past several weeks and even if EA wasn't going to PP, there's no time to make up for lost time in the future. November 28, 201114 yr Member I thought that EA had been a little busy graduating high school and doing outside stuff, which is why he has been offscreen?
