Most contract cast members on one show at once?

I had forgotten that Gordon Thomson was on Y&R and that they wasted such a star in such a thankless role. He'd achieve a lot more the following year with his Beach role. The funny thing is aside from a couple glaring exceptions (Katherine) the show was definitely felt a lot more balanced then than it ever has in the past few years.

My guess for most contact cast would be late 80s/early 90s ATWT under Marland. Check out those 1992 closing credits sometime!
