Thanks Q! I really enjoying Arthur's struggles adjusting to be King. I agree Ann. While I can understand why Aruther is looking through rose-colored glasses about his father, given he just died, but I also wish someone was more blunt/honest to Arthur about how Uther was NOT a great king.

I seriously hate Arthur's traitor Uncle. What is his deal? Does he hate Arthur because his sister died giving birth to him?

Servilia from HBO's Rome was in this episode. She played the opposing Queen.

So that is why the queen looked so familiar. I loved Rome. Great show.

I really liked the queen. She ended up having some integrity at the end. I hope we get to see her again.

I liked it too. A good mix of humor and drama.

I really enjoyed this episode although I thought the Emerys/Morgana confrontation at the end was overdone. Inept Merlin trying to kill Arthur while Gwen and Giaus tried to stop him made me laugh. I loved Arthur's relief when he found Merlin alive, he hugged him even though he was muddy and dirty. Good to see Gwen given something to do other than pop up occasionally to moon over Arthur. The end where Arthur thought Merlin had been in the tavern for two days and had him instruction from his boring humorless servant was a great way to end the episode. The whole episodes showed how much Arthur really appreciates and care for Merlin.

I thought it was pretty good, but how dumb can Morgana be to not kill Merlin by now???

I think it's arrogance on Morganna's part. She doesn't see Merlin as a threat she can't handle. She thought she could use him and it would hurt Arthur even more if he thought his best friend turned on him by choice.

Was a good episode. So funny seeing Merlin try to kill Arthur and keep failing and Gwen keep knocking him out. LMAO

This was a good one. No one will ever be able to say Morgana isn't tenacious.

We've reached the point where Morganna needs to start putting things together soon or she's going to look irretrievably stupid. Gee, maybe there is a reason Merlin is always in your way, girlfriend!

I wish we knew what the uncle's story was. Why is he on her side?

I've wondered that too. Does he hate Uther for using magic and getting his sister killed? Does he hate Arthur for being born and his sister dying as a result? That seems ridiculous, but possible. He'll probably get a speech telling us when Arthur finally catches him.

I really need Morgana to figure out it's Merlin soon too. I want to know what the Uncle's story is as well. I loved the speech Gaius gave to Arthur at the end, telling him the wizard (Merlin) didn't kill his father & tried to save him and that people (Merlin) have been protecting Arthur for a while now which doesn't yet realize. Perhaps that will plant a seed in Arthur's brain.
