Agnes updated her website with a message to fans:

"I am so thrilled to tell you that our shows will live on! I'm looking forward to working with our amazing team alongside Prospect Park to continue the tradition and make the shows better than ever. I am incredibly grateful to you, our loyal fans, who have been so supportive over the past 40 plus years. Your tireless advocacy over these past few months has touched me deeply. You made this day happen. Thank you!"

tvwatercooler Jeevan Brar Update from Prospect Park re: AMC/OLTL: They're currently working with the appropriate guilds and unions to work out talent contracts.

Thanks for the update

Perhaps they should have started exploring the union and guild issues before they finalized the deal. It adds to the notion that they weren't really ready to announce the deal when they did and were only forced to say something when the NY Post put out their article.

I agree Dana, all of this makes it seem like they didn't know what they were doing. I don't think they should have made an announcement till they had some of their stuff lined up to be potentially ready

More like they didn't know what they were getting themselves into.

What it says to me is that it will take time for them to figure it out and we shouldn't expect things to happen quickly and should give them the space and time to do what they need to do.

For me, the AMC show I've watched for 35+ years will end in September and this online incarnation will be a different animal. So looking at it that way, whatever and however Prospect Park proceeds, I'll be watching how it goes and I won't really be all that invested. Most of my emotional investment got torn up when Pratt did his damage and David Canary left the show.

I think that's how most of the AMC and OLTL fans will feel.

That's what I think as well.....

Variety says that the Prospect Park principals visited the AMC set today...sounds like their intentions are at least good when it comes to the move.

Sounds good. Finally they are now letting the actors/producers know what is going to happen.

AFTRA & SAG Both Currently Have Deals In Place for Internet My Good friend, Julie Ann Emery Produces Stars and Directs the web Comedy, Then We Got Help. TWGH is A SAG web show and Julie has said they are paid by minute and once it goes past a certain amount of time, Minimums will have to be in place.

So my guess is that since AFTRA currently handles Daytime dramas they will work with PP to set the minimums since a 45-60 minute soap on the web has not been done
