Where are the recent episodes being sourced from? Not a complaint (I promise), but episodes appear to be SD 576p quality (I only had a quick look in the October 2022 folder).

Would it be worthwhile sourcing the international distribution edit instead? For those that may not know, episodes distributed to international markets are 2.5 minutes longer - they contain a bonus scene not broadcast in the US/Canada (the scene is known as ‘Prologue C’, Brad Bell explains here).

10play (AU) and Videoland (NL) both carry the longer edit. 10play is same pace as the US, however the 10play video interface is a dismal SD 576p resolution. Videoland on the other hand is HD, albeit 3 weeks behind the US broadcast. I believe the CBS website is full HD 1080p, however episodes are the shorter 19 minute edit.

Yes, that is truly wonderful news! I am so looking forward to the first half of 1995 because that's the one part of classic B&B that has always been so hard to find online, and it was one of my favorite periods of the show way back when it first aired.

And with a bit of luck, we'll soon get there with the Videoland episodes too!

Speaking of 1995 I literally just found this on archive lol. Most of the Y&R we have, but can someone please help me confirm the B&B dates?

Is there any way just to tell if you plan to upload them soon or maybe later. No rush. I just wanted to tell my partner when to expect since that's our hobby to watch together. Thank you again million times. You are one of the most amazing people here...

The first B&B episode is #1724 which is already in the Vault. The other is there, too. BoldRestless provided the airdates for the Y&R episodes it seems.

EDIT: just watched the climax of one of the Y&R episodes: Cole walking out on his "father" Victor. Powerful stuff - Y&R used to be soooo good.

    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
