I think all of the IDOLS except Kellie Pickles were good this week.

The best of the night was definitely Katharine McPhee----OUTSTANDING, and I agree very professional.

Chris Daughtry, Paris Bennett and Elliott Yamin were next. I was surprised that I actually thought Taylor Hicks was good, since he's been getting on my freaking nerves for awhile now. My bottom 3 ----Ace Young, Taylor Hicks (although IMHO Ace & Taylor really don't deserve it either) and of course Kellie Pickler, with the !@#$%^&*] going home!! Please, please let it be. TV GUIDE's poll has her and Ace as the bottom 2, with Ace going home. So fellow Pickle haters, she may be gone soon, soon. Let's hope!!!!!!!

:D

:D

I agree. I though he showed lots of personality and was one of the night's best. I voted for him, Chris, Katharine and Paris.

Exactly about Kellie. Chris definitely was out of his element, but definiely does NOT deserve the bottom 3, in fact, he was one of the best.

You know, it is just amazing. I can't see how Chris was so good. I mean, thank GOD he didn't go for a stupid heavy metal take on the standards but he just didn't blow me away. If we handed out letter grades, I'd actually give him a B-. Good effort but nothing groundbreaking.

McPhee is a McPHENOMENON. She should win this thing. And she most certainly had her moment last night. So much feeling and connection with the song and audience...I think she even shed a tear during the song. I recorded it and played it over and over and over again and it seemed like that's what it was.

And about Kellie. I just think some of you hate her guts no matter what. She wasn't THAT bad on her song. Her big problem was rushing ahead of the music. Otherwise, she could have handled it. Granted, she wouldn't have had it locked, because it wasn't the right song for her voice..but she wouldn't have "butchered" it if it were any other song. That song was CRAP.

I can't wait 'til the naysayers about Katherine McPHABULOUS eat their words--particularly the ones on this board who've displayed much criticism toward this McLegend-in-the-making!

ITA.

Also, the last three weeks have just been blah and unimpressive and boring. *THIS* is one show that should get better and better with every season - not worse and worse. I thought maybe the last two weeks were just bad weeks, but after three consecutive weeks, it's hard to keep blaming bad song choices and lame themes.

My rents are little worried for Kellie. Although, I don't know why. She's too popular to leave yet, if at all. And besides, I kind of liked how she admitted it sucked. The contestants don't do that enough. I respect them when they do that.

Sorry ... Kellie blows chunks.

I thought this week was great compared to the last two weeks of pure hell and horrendous performances.

I'm actually becoming a Taylor fan. To me, I'm disappointed because Paris, Chris, Taylor, Katharine and Elliot all have the potential to be fantastic, yet they still aren't all that great yet.

Argh. This is a disappointing season because good ones are eliminated and the sucky ones stay because they are "hot". I miss the first AI when it was actually based on talent (Except for the Nikki debacle).

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
