"When Joel needs the quiet and peace that excludes even the activities of physical exercise, he retreats to his country house in upstate New York where he spends hours in front of the fire sometimes in the company of his girlfriend reading a favorite novel or catching up on the latest journals and magazines."

It looks like they're singing a duet.

I can't remember how long she was on. A year? I was surprised at how long Ted Danson and Jobeth Williams were on (about two years).

Ironic that she was on an NBC soap as her dad Pat Weave, was said to be anti soaps in the 50's when he headed NBC.

The unstable Vietnam vet was Mitch Farmer who was in love with Jill and he held up in the Grant home with Jill. Jill was trying to get him to turn himself in. My two older teenage sisters loved two couplings on soaps at that time - Phil and Tara, and Jill and Mitch. I can't understand Somerset writing Jill and Mitch out to this day. I thought Susan MacDonald was too important as the heroine. Oh well...

That's interesting. Was this when they wrote her out for good? I know she came back towards the last year but wasn't sure if she was there to the end.
