Ellen Bethea is 44, Mari Morrow is 37 and Daphnee Duplaix is 34 which I don't think is a huge stretch for daytime. Bethea was probably playing well under her age considering how old Hilary B. Smith is. I don't think the age was bad for these roles. Just bad casting. Daphnee was incredibly bland.

I thought Daphnee was fine. They rarely gave her anything to do and when she had something she was very solid and showed some of the edge of Rachel. She wasn't as good as Ellen but she was better than Sandra Grant and much better than Morrow.

I never said the age was bad for the roles, I just meant that a lot of soap characters suffer from suddenly losing a ton of years. They lose most of their identity. Like Nicole on Edge of Night.
