Yeah on a bad week, but wasnt OLTL ahead by over 100k last week?

Just about everybody went up last week. That's how you know it was an anomaly. When all soaps have a rise or drop in total viewers that's usually because of an outside influence like holidays, pre-emptions or weather. It doesn't matter what "team" you're on, you really can't count those weeks. But at least it happened during sweeps so everyone gets a little something.

I love Days bloodbaths, because it almost ALWAYS means the show will be good for at least a month, before Corday has to stick his fingers in it again.

I don't understand, the total viewers of B&B have increased compared to last week, and the HH is still the same. Worse, compared to last year, the total viewers have increased by 125000 viewers, and yet, the HH has decreased!! I don't undrsant anything!!!

I must say these ratings are confusing. OLTL is last in total viewers but not in HHs.

I am so happy for OLTL and their success they are enjoying. They were so right to blame the gays for their ratings woes and get back to the types of stories their audience wants to see. May they continue to reap all the riches they so richly deserve.

They are not the same thing total viewers are the number of exact people watching the show while household represent the number of actual households viewed the show so you can have multiple people in the same households watching.

Do you think online viewers combining with TV viewers in 2010-2011 is going to save some of the soaps?

I don't know, but does this start as soon as the 2010-2011 season begins?

I dont think this starts until 2011 but this could definitely help soaps!

Every year these numbers get worse and worse- 1.8 was bottom 5 years ago but now it's average. Is there any way to prove that the 2000-2010 period has seen the sharpest decline in soap viewership in history?
