Ok I didn't bother to post this in the other thread about Eli being Marty and Ford's attacker because I didn't think anyone would read it LOL.

Basically, I had came up with two perfectly plausible reasons why Eli would push Marty (to put Todd in jail) and attack Ford (to get Hannah put away, and keep Starr and Cole together as what he did to Marty drove them apart.) But I wondered was why would he kill Melinda? I defenitely think he will be behind all 3 crimes, because I dont see them revealing different people behind all 3.

What I came up with was that Eli killed Melinda so that he could save Blair and maybe even Starr, Hope, and Langston from being killed by Allison Perkins. He figured that Melinda's wouldn't exactly devestate Blair and it would be the perfect way to protect them. But... I had a few questions as my memory from February is a little foggy on some details.

Was Eli seen much during February?

Were he and Blair close enough at this time for him to do such a thing?

Did he have oppurtunity to kill that guy Rodney who was about to tell Kelly who killed her mom?

This is just pure speculation on my part, I am just wondering if any of this could check out.

I don't want to sound glib but I think the writers are just going to make something up at random, like they did with that KAD fiasco.

Ok. Then it really wouldnt make much since in that reason I came up with in my first post, he and Blair were just friends with benefits in January, so I dont see him killing for her.

They will probably just explain him as some possessive psycho if he is behind it. Ugh.

Eli being behind the crimes is bad enough. However, if the writers don't tie Reed into it somehow, I'm going to be really pissed. That guy came out of nowhere, kept lurking around Kelly, even in the rain, he was hiding in the backyard, and showed some agression towards the end. We're expected to believe that he was just some guy who wanted a date with Kelly so bad he followed her to Llanview, from LONDON no less, and then just decided to go back? I thought Reed was an awful character and the actor wasn't that good either. Why were we subjected to that if it was all going nowhere? And this whole Bennett Thompson thing....

Hey Eric. I think Eli did This for Blair. Eli Pushed Marty down the Stairs because Blair Hates Marty. Eli wanted Hannah to Confess to Pushing Marty because Hannah was Trying to come between Starr and Cole and Blair's Granddaughter's Parents. Eli Attacked Ford because He Hurt Langston and Blair Loves Langston. I think Eli Killed Melinda because She is Kelly's Mother and Blair Hates Kelly. Jody

I cant beleive they are actually doing a Who Killed Melinda storyline. She's a character that hasnt been relevant since the early 80s, only appearing since when they've proceeded to retcon kids into her past. She's no Tina Lord and Im shocked they've wasted so much time on her with this silly nonsense

Kelly seems like such a useless and pointless character. OLTL should have done a Claudia Zachara with Gina Tognoni and broguth her on as a new character, ignoring her past history on the show as she's added absolutely nothing as Kelly since reprising the role
