According to Welovesoaps.com

It appears as if Emmy-winning soap legend Larry Bryggman will be reprising his role as John Dixon on AS THE WORLD TURNS for a day before the show goes off the air in September. Brygmann started on ATWT in 1969 and played the role of John for 35 years before the character unceremoniously disappeared.

He'll most likely only be back for one episode, but they tell us to stay tuned in case he's back for multiple episodes.

This will be great if it's true! I never thought it would happen, ever. I hope they use him wisely. Bring back Andy for f***'s sake!!!!! Or at least have Reid as his son or something. I don't care. And put him in a lot of scenes with Kim, please, and Bob, and of course Lisa. I want to hear her say "Johnny" one last time.

Now get Iva and Andy and Ellen and Penny and that's all I need...

I heard that there will only be 2 more returns. I hope this one is one of them. I hope there is more than what is rumored to be 2. Chris you better do a good job with Larry's return and keep him for the rest of August and September unless they do what they did with Frannie's return by filming 2-4 weeks before her air-date.
