Members DaytimeFan
Simon Cowell is marvelous. He is very generous in giving money, quietly, to charity. Additionally, those who work with him are always taken care of very well and he takes a smaller cut than other managers and executives do. He is a ton of fun and is wonderful to his mother. Sure, his music isn't 'classy', it's popular, to hell with it, life's too short to be a snob about that kind of thing. Besides, his next door neighbour growing up was Joan Collins, so he's been touched by fabulous personified!

Members Sylph
In the words of Slavoj Žižek: humanitarianism and charity are just an arm of capitalism. An important part of its engine.

Members DRW50
I'm thrilled for Joanna Lumley. She is a very charismatic, sensual, and classy woman and she's played such a wide variety of roles (I can't choose between Patsy and Sapphire). She seems to have had a big comeback in the past year or two, not that she ever went away. That Ghurka campaign got such press. Congratulations to Simon Cowell too. Members All My Shadows
Joanna I spent many Saturday mornings/afternoons getting my little gay boy on with Edina and Patsy thanks to BBC America. I know Jo's had a long, long career, so I'm very glad for her. Does Simon have an OBE?

Members DaytimeFan
Oh yes, Joan and the Cowell's have been friendly since the late 60's. They lived right next to one another in the London suburb of Surrey. Rather posh.
