In the real world, this would prove to Guza how unpopular, boring, overrated and ridiculous the LANTE story is...and he would try to undo the shiteous things he's done to the characters...But this is GH world, and Guza will never.

What makes me want to tune out of B&B is the prospect of Bridget being engaged in the same conversation for the next 8 months. She's so guilty but has to keep her baby daddy a secret for Nick's sake, like he has any stones to throw in her direction.

It is also suffering from an idea that Bullies are justified because they are really just hurt people lashing out.

I'm LOL at Y&R. It looks like people tuned in Monday found the same old boring [!@#$%^&*] and turned out again immediately. But that's not Maria and Hogan's fault the American audience just doesn't get their brilliant and funny show.

This Stefey/Hope mess is what has hit B&B: Stephanie and Brooke are at it again in the form of the Girls 12-17 demo. I'm actually hoping the return of Amber gets the show going again by taping some history. Was thinking about how the drop in B&B has hit ratings for ATWT. For a dead, poorly written show limping to the finish line, ATWT ratings aren't all that bad and just .2 points below the entire ABC line up. I'm guessing that any B&B spike would get the ATWT ratings up. B&B was so strong for years and I'm getting, now, why Goutman put such little work into his show do to viewer spill over.

    • I've been behind & just got caught up & the last 3 days were amazing!
    • Yeah.  The hot, poor bad boy with a chip on his shoulder but with a heart of gold was a common soap trope in the 80s

    • That's been an issue with me... the lack of a cohesive 'Have Not' crowd that has focus other than Leslie/Eva.   I would beef up Jan, Mona, Laura, Joey, and few other male characters.. and not just be out to overthrow the Duprees.. but co-existing and broadening the scope of the show since the show is called Beyond the Gates. I think the set up the show has with everything revolving around the Duprees will become predictable especially if they always win.   It would be like Victor Newman on Y & R for 40+ years.. always winning, hardly ever losing.   With MVJ/Guza.. both trained under that mindset... I fear that will happen.   I've always heard from a performer that is playing a character like Leslie/Dana that you have to find the victim/hurt beneath the surface in order to play a villain/villainess... and I think that's why I enjoy watching her.. because she brings so much more to the part than what the writers put on the page.
    • I figure that was really hard for Dom to do. I completely GET why they wrote it the way they did but I wonder if it was necessary. Meanwhile I have 2 really icky ideas in my head. Drew is going to blame Tracy KNOWING it was not her. Dante is going to blame Lulu.  After that, everyone else is going to be mad at Lois.  Tracy is going to double down on wanting to get rid of Sonny. Sonny's going to be more dug in to stay because he now has a new descendant.
    • I can actually buy Brook Lynn being so self-absorbed and incurious that she never thought to question why her mom and grandma were so attached to Gio.
    • It was overkill and the whole narrative Lois was too nice to the orphan kid when he was little, WHAT? Like Emma said no one thinks Gio is a troublemaker that gets 14-year-old kids drunk for fun. That being said, Lulu figured this Gio thing out in episode, but Brook Lynn never once questioned Lois and Gloria attachment to a child that was the same age as the baby she gave up?  Ever?
    • Thanks for finding that. I may have been thinking of this blog entry.
    • Just watched the "Dante Screams At Gio" scenes. Jesus. Talk about overload and overkill. That was obnoxious.
