Interesting Janet scenes. I went from LMBO at Janet, to feeling so bad for her towards the end of her scenes. I was crying just a bit, when Erica came to the door as Janet was being walked out by the cops she said, "My Amanda is a big star, Erica....bright shiny star". :( she is so crazy. Kate Collins did a great job. Chrishell Stause did to, especially in the scene where she sort of chronicled what Janet has done in the last couple of years. Pushing Babe down the steps, drugging and kidnapping people, blowing up the Mardi Gras ball, freezing Trevor...RPG wasn't that bad either, I was really touched by the scenes where Jake was telling Janet that they were family.

I really am loving Madison

Great to see Frankie, loved all of the Hubbard scenes today.

Rebecca Taylor is back. <_<

Unless Kate Collins is willing to return permanently, or AMC commits to keeping Janet around and finding even a decent actress to play the role (b/c, like her or not, but Robin Mattson's clearly not coming back), I don't think so.

How sad, though, to read about that brief interaction between Janet and Erica. Reminds me of the "good ol', bad ol'" days when KC's Natalie and Erica used to rumble. (I'll never forgive AMC, either, for killing off Nat.)

I too didn't like that they killed Natalie. But the character suffered a bad miscast and I'm sure TPTB didn't think Kate Collins would ever come back, so they did what they thought was the best decision at that time which was to kill off the character.

The Natalie recast (Melody Anderson) swas dreadful. I was looking up info on the character last week and had no idea she played Janet as well. Im guessing for a few episodes. Anyone know how she did as Janet? Probably just as bad

True, Melody Anderson was horribly miscast as Natalie, but I think it was hubris on the part of Felicia Minei Behr and the network to assume any actress would be successful as a Natalie recast. IIRC, too, Candace Earley (Donna) left AMC under similar circumstances (to get married, move out of NYC and leave "the Industry" behind for a "normal" life); yet, the show chose not to kill off Donna. Instead, Donna and Chuck were allowed to remarry and leave P.V. together. I realize people like(d) James Kiberd as Trevor, but why couldn't TPTB do the same for him and Nat?

The way she delivered that line...I was amazed at how KC and CS kept their composure and didn't bust out laughing right away, LOL! I was laughing non stop when she said that, I had to pause, because....LOL. It was a very wrong line, but you really just couldn't help but laugh..

Maybe it wasn't her, but I think Melody played Janet once and only once and that was at Natalie's funeral. I missed the show that day but my mom saw it and said that at the end Janet was lurking in the background (think they only showed her from behind) and she whispered, "Bye Natty." That gave me goose pimples just writing that. At any rate my mom was like, "Now how did she escape to get there? " but ruled that it was still a sweet moment. Livia also sang "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" at the funeral which I was looking forward to seeing. -_- And here I go to YouTube...

ETA: No luck.

Oh ok, I must be remembering my mom's comment incorrectly, perhaps it was about the fact that she was allowed to come after all she'd done. So did they show her face or was she just ushered by the back door to view the casket and say bye? I clearly remember my mom saying that she said bye. Geeze, what a dramatic moment at a funeral. Wasn't Farrah Fawcett's son also cuffed and escorted to her service?

Oh my God, LOL at that mile long rap sheet! Talk about lock her up and throw away the key! Putting vodka in Harold's water dish to give him alcohol poisoning is probably my favorite.

Right, they were not twins. I remember Janet's first day showing up at the door and believe it or not it took a second for it to register to me that that was Kate Collins in a dual role. :P Janet was a lot of fun in her heyday, holding Hayley hostage and whatnot. I actually thought Janet looked nice when Natalie had her made over and she first got that longish bob haircut, what became her signature look. She had a rat's nest in the beginning.

I didn't catch Wilma Marlowe as a kid, I just remember Dena Dietrich when Robin was "Jane Cox" but the first Wilma (the actress died in an automobile accident) seemed scrappy but a lot warmer than Dena's version.

Well, I guess that also had something to do with the fact that she was dealing with Natalie and not Janet.

    • Yeah, not sure why Jack and Jen didn’t rush to Marlena - or even Carrie - to offer their condolences. A few flashbacks would've been a nice touch too. Instead, we got a whole episode of them talking about Chad and Abby? Come on. On the bright side, I loved Anna’s scenes with Marlena and Carrie - sweet and heartfelt, felt like a real 80s throwback.
    • Martin and Smitty were designed to avoid the stereotype of gay men sleeping around (which to an extent is true). If you recall Martin had a line about them not being open when Chelsea came to talk to him. The producers are walking a very fine line right now and it might not be popular to say but I can understand it. Establishing enough footing to ward off complaints will let them showcase gay characters more openly later.
    • The week was decent. They have started to rotate their stories and finally got a rhythm going. I disagree about them allowing every character to have a moment to shine though. Nicole really hasn't been given anything to do. I completely agree with all this. I adore Doug and hope he makes it through.

    • There was the one appearance in '96, but otherwise, that's correct as far as I know.

Question for the B&B group: I see @rsclassicfanforever has uploaded multiple seasons from Videoland  (in the folders that are to be put away). They are huge folders and difficult to download so I started breaking them down into months but I realized they are by season so for example, Season 4 spans from March 1990 to March 1991. Now I'm wondering where to actually place them, since we have the Full Episodes section divided by year, not seasons. And most of these seasons we already have in full, so these are duplicates. Not sure if it's necessary to keep the older versions. I could just make another new section for Seasons, so the main folders would be "Behind the Scenes and Interviews," "Clips," "Full Episodes," "Full Seasons," "Music CDs," and "photo archive Marquise" but I'm not sure that really makes sense. Also wondering since we have almost every full episode now if "Clips" can be deleted in its entirety, as it's nearly 300GB.
    • CBS moving Murder, She Wrote from Sunday to Thursday was straight up sabotage. Les Moonves knew exactly what he was doing.
    • I sure hope you’re right. The lack of sets is maddening!
