Just read this on SoapCity and Toni's board;

"According to the latest CBS SID, the show HAS re-cast Lily but they haven't announced who it is yet. Nu-Lily is supposed to make her first start date on January 9th."

Its about time! I was afraid they were going to drop the Lily recast like w/ Nate.

They wouldn't withhold the recast if the recast was a newbie. Are there other younger AA female "name" actresses?

Hmm interesting... one more thing that makes the start of 2006 look even more unappealing! I really was getting quite tired of the chracter of Lily by the time she left and the Lily/Daniel romance... gag me now.

I hope the new Lily will be as good as the great Chistel Khalil.

There's also concern for Devon as he nears emancipation. "Yolanda is recovered now and has her own plans for Devon that are not necessarily complimentary to the Winterses'." Expect an "intriguing aspect" to emerge between Neil and Yolanda.

Intriguing aspect means they are gonna get hot for each other! That I can get behind, just hopefully they go through with it with all these rumours of KSJ leaving

Executive Producer/Head Writer Jack Smith insists that St. John is not leaving. "That is a rumor that I'm unaware of," he states. "I just don't know how these things get started."

But we'll have to wait and see...

Maybe this will be a small boost the show needs. After the catastrophe that's been the Sheila show (because of Smith's hack job), the show needs to find some kind of silver lining and get back to what works. I didn't particularly like Lily and do not want redux of Lilly with Daniel, but if she can mix it up with the right people this could be good. With my luck, she'll just annoy me all over again.
