Wow, I never would have guessed bc OC seems right up your ally. I hated Gretchen early on but I really came to like her this past season with her friendship with Tamra

You have to tell us what you think of Lynne. Its too bad she only lasted 2 seasons bc she was crazy. But good crazy and Id take her back over Jesus Jugs. She was good for some funny moments and lines which weren't intentional at all.

Oh, how I loved Lynne. Lynne, and the RHOOC franchise generally, are emblematic of the Global Financial Crisis like no other series on television. Living beyond their means with other people's money, fuelled by delusions of grandeur and a sense of entitlement nurtured by stupidity.

Yes, Lynne... a very kooky character.. very laid back and eccentric. I think Vicki wasn't too keen on her to start with.. if I'm not mistaken.

I never watched the early seasons of NY or Atlanta.. did they start out with each housewife basically being isolated.. or was there staged functions for all the housewives to interact at?

Atlanta they always interacted. I never watched NYC before the last season really so I'm not sure. I think they interacted a lot, all of them. But it wasnt a housewives show when it started production, it was like New York social or something.

Yup. This also sums up basically all of Orange County tbh

Hmmm I just watched Season 1 of NYC (mostly due to your hilarious pics of Aviva and the ladies from this last season) and I found it to have a certain level of interaction. Alex was probably the most isolated from the group (whether due to glass or her different background I don't know).

I do know that I fell in LOVE with Bethanny and Ramona! Ramona is so hilarious and yet I can see why her daughter finds her embarrassing. I semi liked Jill and I found Alex and her husband to be weird. I'm still trying to find time to get Season 2 on DVD so I can continue to follow these girls. Interested in seeing how they go from here....

RHOA was funny tonight. I don't even know where to start, I will just let you guys' comment and I will add on.

Kenya was just giving it to me tonight, LOVED it.

Can I just say how hard I laughed when Kenya told Porsha to come to the party dressed as Nisi from BAPS. That was some awesomeness right there.

"Maybe I would have got a rise out of Walter if I had pecs and not breasts.... just sayin" laugh.png

And for the Marlo fans she is going to be at the event Kenya was talking about tonight. She went as Diahann Caroll, so hopefully we see her wub.png

Also, love how all the husbands have bonded, and love how Peter and Leon are friends.

    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
