SOD: Vail Bloom left on her own

I didn't know where else to put this, so I just brought it here since the news of the re-cast is in here.

Actor's Reaction to Y&R Switcheroo

Following the shocking news that the role of Y&R's Heather Stevens was being recast with Eden Riegel (ex-Bianca, AMC), her predecessor Vail Bloom wants to set the record straight. Her publicist tells Digest: "Vail left the show on her own. She was not fired or let go. She was a non-contract player on Y&R and it was ultimately her choice to leave. She has had to turn down outside projects presented to her in the past and now wants to be able to pursue other opportunities. There are no ill feelings on Vail's side whatsoever and she looks forward to her movie The Somnambulist to come out soon. Vail really enjoyed her time on Y&R. Playing Heather was an incredible experience and she felt very honored to be on the No. 1 soap."

LOL.

Yep, just like how Greg Vaughn "quit" GH.

Nevermind. LOL didn't realize how old this was. Lock please. :)

Why would she lie? If Vail were fired, wouldn't she want to shout it from the rooftops that Y&R powers that be are douchebags?

Its called saving face.

As a recurring player I guess she can't technically be "fired".

I really hope she lands something else.

Eden Riegel basically admitted she got hired because Liz Hendrick and Greg Rikaart put in a word for her with TPTB at Y&R.

If Riegel was hired with a contract, something they wouldn't give Vail, then we know Vail is the one trying to save face.

Though, given how nasty Maria Arena Bell is, I do think Vail was fired and she's just trying to not make it a big deal.

Why is Vail's hair so dark now?? I noticed on yesterday's show. I know I watched...lol. What happened to her hot hair...lol. Are they preparing us for Binkslaugh.gif

Ugh...I still cannot believe skinny, ugly Eden Riegel is going to be playing Heather Stevens. UGH.

Careful, Eden will launch a myspace attack on you! Seems to be the new thing to do.

VB has improved so much. Oh, well. I'm surprised it took this regime so long to get rid of her. She did the best she could with pretty crappy writing for her character. I mean, seriously, she was supposed to be a hot-shot lawyer from Chicago and they had her wrongfully prosecuting everybody on the show. How can any actor really do much with that? I'm just glad they kept her during the Adam confrontation storyline. At least, she gets to wrap that up.

It be nice if Vail & the rest of YR outcast do a webseries together making fun at how shitty Y&R has become.

Don't worry Vail I know the truth about those bitches at Y&R. The firing probably was a surprise to you as it was to us. Ask DS & AL! Matter of Fact maybe ya'll can do a project on youtube. Maybe something like Charlie Angels taking down bad writers of YR.
